I read this from a review on "theforce.net"

Deleted Scenes

If the Episode II DVD has one disappointing spot, it is the deleted scenes. The scenes included are not that interesting unless you want to know the procedures of the Republic Senate and a Geonosis trial. I had hoped it would include scenes from the Geonosis invasion (like the Jedi fighters attacking the Trade Federation Control Ships) or the footage with Count Dooku holding the double sabers.

the site is

Ya guys you should check the official site for the real facts, not the fan site. The scenes you want will be in the DVD.

No they probably won't be, the "official" site already gave a list of the deleted scenes that will be included and the Jedi control ship scene and the extended Yoda Dooku fight were not on the list. And even though theforce.net is a fansite i think this is pretty solid proof the scenes won't be there, i heard recently that review copies of the DVD had been sent out and this is obviously the first of those reviews.

George Lucas sucks, depriving his fans of such great scenes.. what a jerk.

After doing some thinking on this subject.......the only reason I can think of as to why he doesn't put those scenes in the DVD is because he doesn't want to take away anything from the movie itself.

I mean if ppl saw them and saw how amazing they were, they would be screaming even louder to see them in the movie. So to avoid even more controversy/criticism he doesn't include them at all.........

At least IMO....

Ya your right the official site does not show those scenes as being on the dvd. My brain got the info mixed up from reading about it on the forums and reading the official site and forgot which came from where. Im sure you all know what thats like. Anyway I was right about there being some cool scenes that were on the dvd.

Btw Ive never read anything about the droid ship raid or extended duel scenes anywhere on the official site. Ive only read about it from fans. Can anyone show me official proof that those scenes ever existed in the first place?

And no George Lucas doesnt suck. He knows what hes doing. As a director he needs to make sure things are paced well. If he put EVERYTHING he ever thought of into that movie it would have dragged on and most people wouldnt like that. Pacing is important. And how do you know those scenes are really cool? They sound cool because of the idea of them. George has seen them and he knows best. So I trust that those scenes were not up to par. Something may look good on paper but crappy on screen. Did you see the ep1 deleted scenes? Some of them were kinda dumb. Like the morning of the podrace. It was boring, the acting was crappy, and it didnt enrich the movie at all. So dont say he sucks.:tsk:

I'm hanging onto the hope that Lucas is holding back these scenes for the boxed set re-release of the DVDs with the OT. He needs to give us some reason to shell out $200 for something we already have ;) Lucas is a marketing genius, as well as one of the best directors in cinema history.
