Yoda, Dagobah Cave theory

I think the Darkness in that cave is Dooku's deadness.:)

I know in EU Yoda kills a dark jedi there and it is suppose to help hide him from the Emperor and Vader. Maybe in this 3rd movie Lucas will have Dooku go after Yoda for his final revenge but Yoda will get the best of him.

Just a theory.

Opinions please.

Yeah that's not a bad theory at all actually.

I don't know, my experience with the EU is limited, but I did read the first books of Timothy Zahn and he suggested it was because a Sith was killed in it or something from memory didn't he?

But with the amount that the EU has been written off in my opinion (I know there are "explanations" for everything - I just don't feel they cut it), I wouldn't be surprised at all if Mr.Lucas ignored the EU again and George went for something totally different with that cave.

To be honest I just (these days) stick with the films, and watching them again a few months ago it seemed to me like Yoda "conjured" the whole thing up.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cave doesn't get an explanation at all, because there's no need to explain it if you see what I mean. Old George might just say/think: Yoda did it, it was explained (to a degree) in the movie, end of story.

Or maybe that's what's meant with the Jedi Trials - A Jedi Master conjures for the Padawan (perhaps just into their head) their worst fear?

I reckon that might (very much perhaps) be the sort of explanation we'll be given...Anakin will have to do it, fail terribly and flip out.

Though of course I'm more than likely (very, very, very likely) to be very, very, very wrong.

Yeah, we might see another Yoda/Dooku battle.......Yoda engages Dooku just moments after he stumbles upon Dooku finishing off Mace Windu.

Then Yoday cuts him to pieces....:)

Whether or not the evil in the cave is Dooku's......I have a feeling we'll probably never know.......

EU refers to the books, graphic novels, etc... that take place in the Star Wars universe, but are not included in the movies. There are tons, literally tons of books out there that are great. I recommend Shadows of the Empire for someone new to EU, it takes place during the timeline of the original trilogy, so you will be familiar with the characters.

What does this have to do with the Dagobaugh cave theory???

I think what he was trying to say is that he has no thoughts on the cave theory and that he likes Buck Rogers (which sucked.)

Though Erin Grey used to where those tight pants all the time.

I've been doing a little more thinking on this and I have come up with some thoughts. If that is in fact Dooku's dead spirit in the cave.....Dooku must have been trying to track down Yoda and kill him. Which of course then leads him to Dagobah. On Dagobah, Dooku and Yoda must have had a huge battle and Yoda finishes Dooku then.......of course this only plays out if in fact that is Dooku in the cave and not someone else *shrugs*

I remember Arin Grey also and loved them tight pants and I also was into battlestar galactica but I think that it is Dooku's leftover Force presence in the cave that hides Yoda's presence from the emperor and vader but one has to ask the question that since Yoda was a main member of the Jedi Council why in Return of the Jedi did Vader and the Emperor act like they'd never heard of him?Because Anikin went before Master Yoda and Master Windu in Episode I and by the way Episode I and II are good Movies and explain alot about Anikin's past and I just love Padme' Amidalla but I still think Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi is #1.

I don't believe that he ever was Thrift. I haven't seen the OT for a while but if I remember correctly.......the emperor and vader both thought that it was Obi-Wan training Luke.....when in reality is was Yoda.

I think that's how it was......
