What an interesting place this sounds like.........you can have swords but you can't wear your slippers in public? I give up trying to figure things out!

It is or was also illegal to spit because of the out break of some desease... i think it was tuburculosus (bad spelling) or something... i dunno... but it's illegal to spit on sidewalks cause when it dries it mixes with something in the concrete that creates some desease to spread... *shrugs*
