Surfnshannon
Okay - need help - My mom just got a new computer yesterday...awesomely fast. It has a DVD RW so that she can take the Home Videos and make them into DVD. My question is...can you record on both sides of the DVD? Because I know with DVDs some of them switch over...ex widescreen or fullscreen or when the extras on the opposite side. I just want to know because DVD RW's are expensive and I'd hate to waste that valuable space. I've never even used the DVD Burner yet...I hope its kewl. NE body else have one. Any tips?? Nothing Illegal please. More like people who have done Home Movies etc.
GonkH8er
recording on both sides requires double sided dvds.... and ive never seen them on sale anywhere... you may have more luck where you live though
Eldritch
Yeah, unless it says 'Double Sided' on the container of blank DVDs (which are pretty expensive) you can only record on one side (which should be PLENTY).
ondrahosek
In case you DO find such a DVD, you will have to turn it over to be able to record on the other side. I don't know too many drives that can burn double-sided DVDs without you having to turn them over. Don't mix up the sides!
BCanr2d2
No doubt, they'd cost the Earth, since they'd be able to record a single sided DVD onto a whole DVD for home use - would cost a lot of money. They are pricing the home user out of copying movie DVD's directly by making the Authoring Quality DVD's well out of the price range of the average Pirater of these things.......
