I hate crowds, so you won't get me out of the house for the next few days,.. and prob'ly not again 'till after New Years, (except perhaps to use this ticket for "The Two Towers" I got in the LOTR DVD set.)

That's OK,.. I bought a new 80GB hard drive yesterday,.. time to install it, back up my files to it, reformat the C: drive, reinstall everything. That should keep me busy this weekend.

Hope everyone had a happy US Thanksgiving (typically US; a month after we've had our turkey and gone home ;) ).

I had planned to go out today to get my last few store-bought gifts and see Treasure Planet, but I saw the snow and decided that tomorrow might be better (yeah, snow and rain tomorrow, but at least it'll be warmer). Which means I get to see all the Saturday crowds. Lucky me. :disaprove

The snow never stays, it always seems to go one or two days after it fell. this winter is starting to suck... When I lived here about 5-7 years ago I remember that there would be so much snow in this time of year, and now... nothing. Damn you global warming.

Thanksgiving? Like FB said, that's already long gone ;)

BTW, I went to see "James Bond: Die Another Day", my verdict: Crappy Lame Movie.

Yes, the snow is mostly gone now. It vanished in time to reveal the glare ice all over the frelling sidewalks! The fact that most sidewalks around here are tilted (because of driveways) doesn't help, nor does the fact that the speed limit in the city is apparently 70km/h.

I had to go out for groceries this morning and nearly killed myself!!! :swear:

Don't worry though, the snow usually picks up around Christmas/New Years. Jan-March are our really snowy months, and it's usually late April before the last snowbanks are gone. Expect our usual incompetent/non-present plowing, unsafe pedestrian conditions, and numerous potentially fatal accidents. :disaprove:

Oh, and my Treasure Planet review is over there.

Come on, man... Suicide won't solve your problems! We all have to buy groceries. Just hang in there, and it'll all be ok.
