If Jar-Jar hadn't have been there to call a vote to give Palpatine immediate emergency powers, they would have just got someone else to do it instead. It wasn't really Jar-Jar's fault, if you look at it that way. I think he should be killed in Ep3, but in a heroic way like JM said.

Well, not exactly, if Padme hadn't left Jar-Jar in her place, then she would have left somebody else, wich would have done exactly the same. However, you should remember that Jar-Jar has already saved the galaxy, if it wasn't for him, the gungan army would never have fought in TPM, meaning Padme probably wouldnt have been able to capture the Trade Fed people, and would probably have been caught trying, and executed.

Same here man. He's not annoying. he is funny at some times. But nothing really were I hate him.

I liked him in episode II. He had less lines, i think that's the reason.

 

I don't see why many hate him, but I don't see how many owuld like him either.

My statement earlier was just in jest; I don't really think that jar jar caused the death of countless Jedi, not to mention the fall of the republic. He is far too stupid to do such an act.

I'm guessing Lucas films decided that Jar-jar would appeal to the younger audience. Well he did... they all want him killed. It's as if he was brought in to insult our intelligence. Puuuh-leeeese! Whens the last time you heard anybody say "oooh oooh let me be the Gungan!" in a game? Never.
