CorranSec Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Heh. I think that was just another example of typical SE_Vader logic. Gameplay>realism...

lukeiamyourdad Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Yoda seems too small to fight like he does...
SE_Vader_536 Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 it makes sense for him to fight. hes a jedi, DUH!
lukeiamyourdad Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 The Kaminos need to defend themselves! DUH!
CorranSec Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Oh, come on. "Doesn't look right" isn't much of an argument. It's a game, and more importantly, it's based on fictional characters in a fictional universe. And if they don't look right to you (even though nobody's seen them holding blasters... I think), LA's art department will probably make them look right somehow.
CorranSec Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 I don't want a kaminoan civ, I'm just giving reasons as to why we should have a couple of Kaminoans in the editor.
emimar Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Instead of the Kaminos having a civ what about the Mon Cals?
lukeiamyourdad Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Maybe... I still wonder why they haven't put any mon cal in the game. They can put some aliens that almost nobody knows like that thing that serves as the gungan bounty. You see it only once and it's enough for it to be a bounty.
SE_Vader_536 Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 wait a minute... whats so special about the mon cals? they are peaceful people and i havent heard of them having an army otherwise they would be able to challenge the world dstryrs.
lukeiamyourdad Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Haven't you heard of the hum...Mon Calamari Cruiser? They armed their cruisers and tried to fight off the imps...They are peaceful...just like the naboo...
SE_Vader_536 Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 ok maybe they have ONE unit if thats it. why not just put this cruiser in the toybox
lukeiamyourdad Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Two units. The B-Wing was designed by adm Ackbar. Do you know what a Mon Calamari is? Those cruisers we saw in ep6 were Mon Calamari Cruisers. It's only a canon evidence that they have an army of some sort.
Crazy_dog no.3 Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Rebellion/Supremacy featured Mon Cal ground troops. Those could be used.
OOM-9(2) Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Mon cal's and the cloners would have been good in the editor, without them it is hard to re-create many scenes from the films
emimar Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 The Mon Cals were one of the main civs in the Rebellion!
Crazy_dog no.3 Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 Correction: They were not a civ, but 1 unit! I think what u mean is we can use those Rebellion/Supremacy units as units for the game. Can anyone take a screenshot of them?
Paragon_Leon Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 i think it would be all but impossible to use Kamino cloners... after all, you only see those dragon-type beasts they ride and really nothing else. as for Mon Cals; the only weapon we know of them is a massive Mon Cal Cruiser; almost impossible to use in a game like SWGB !
Crazy_dog no.3 Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 But we know of thier infantry, they were in Rebellion/Supremacy!
CorranSec Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 I think that in GB2, the Mon Cals should be a part of the Rebellion and/or the New Republic. I don't think they should be the ground troops, but perhaps when you select a large airborne craft, it will be a Mon Cal flying it. By the same token, you could have some Sullustans in the fighters, Wookies as troopers, and so on... Who's up for multi-racial civs?
CorranSec Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 *sigh* Because it makes a lot of sense to make those civs who are multi-racial multi-racial. It's just a simple graphics/audio change which happens to improve realism and break up the human monotony.
Admiral Vostok Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Yeah that would be cool. Why would you want it secret? I think of the existing civs only Rebel Alliance would be multi-racial, but laser-troopers, X-Wings and Y-Wings at least should be humans, because those units were solid parts of the Alliance when there were basically only humans in it (Battle of Yavin). And don't use EU to tell me there were plenty of other races in the rebellion at that time, I'm going on what I saw in the movies. Besides I'm still all for a sullustan A-Wing pilot or a Dresselian Grenadier.
