Sorry to break it to you, but polls become crap the second you add Yoda as an option. Why? It's completely useless - it's just an option for people to say they don't care about the poll. If a person went through the effort of creating a good poll, why would he/she want people to ignore it and not even vote?

 

"Yoda" isn't a poll option, it's way of not voting and still "vote". It's a silly excuse for saying you don't give a crap and are just wasting your time here.

 

People keep saying "I hate polls" "I hate the game threads" ETC ETC... If you dont like it leave. Everything goes hand-in-hand to make the message board what it is. You must realize to have one you must have the other.

Yes, things go hand in hand here - that also means some things will have to go, in order to please everyone. You can't just assume you are in your full right to "lump on" a lot ridiculous threads, and then argue people can't delete them "Because we must tolerate everyone here".

I can easily tolerate everyone here - but not every thread or post. Hate the attitude, not the person (Muratus in a nutshell, and he knows it - right mura? )

 

A: Just want to see how many people agree with you, and your complaints?

B: Do you really want to make a difference?

 

Groovy, people make threads about this sort of thing because it annoys them - not just to rant some **** off. They're doing it because they want to see if they're not alone, and if people also want to see a change in things.

well let the record show that I did not add "yoda" to my poll...someone mysteriously added that by themselves. Like I said I debated it (as it is a swamp thing) but I didn't want everyone to just vote yoda for fun - i wanted a real answer!

I know. SPY added it, just as he did with my exactly similar poll way back when I made a thread as this.

 

Back in the day, it was an okay joke for its time. But it's overdone when mods need to go in and actually add it.

 

People should choose if they want to include the Yoda option - for if they do, they're destroying any chance of a good poll.

Polls are intended for the use of tracking everyones opinion statistically for a specific thread idea...so i guess what I would like to see in a poll is

 

a subject that is meaningful, (sometimes fun) and is a contributing part of the swamp. A poll that has some sort of value as far as us knowing statistically everyones opinion on an interesting subject. If its something about tv shows...well I think that should just be a regular thread...and not really a poll. It limits everyone's options. I think people should really *think* about the topic and whether or not a poll would really serve a purpose or perhaps just a simple thread where people can voice their opinions and not have to just simply click "yoda"

Use these little things called discretion and common sense when making these polls. And for God's sake man, use proper grammar and diction when you post. Your spelling is bad enough to deal with.
