I was the same as Neil.

And, Faith, many people who have been baptised don't go to church, mainly due to the popularity of media taking off over the past 100 years (first radio, then television, then games, then the Internet). This, coupled with huge scientific breakthroughs in the past 200 years or so, have left many people lacking in belief.

Got drunk to the depressed stage (you know how when your drunk you go from being happy to depressed the more you drink?)

Went down to the beach with my boyfriend, my best friend, 3rd best friend and her new boyfriend (who now happens to be my boyfriends best friend- hope that doesn't confuse ya)

Anyways in short, Cassie and Dave need to get a god damn room, suuuuuuuuuuure lets basically grope and have sex with each other after what? 2dates? what? after 3days she's dumped her ex boyfriend (she dumped her ex boyfriend for Dave) and suuuuuuuuure lets fricking behave like you're not gonna take things slow like you've been insisting all along. Lets make out in the back of the car while someone is sitting right there beside you (am I glad I was in the front seat- I probably would have punched someone it was like a soft core porn movie on the beach *gags*)

Got into a bad mood listening to everyone talk about their sex lives and my bf talking about his ex girlfriends- not something I really wanted to hear... also got into a fight with him (which was probably the alcohol talking and the fact I can be a drama queen when I want someone to pay attention to me) coz I felt like he was ignoring me all night- wouldn't hold my hand, wouldnt kiss me wouldn't hug me...it made me depressed, so here I am bawling my eyes out declaring my love for him and all he can do is look at me like a stunned mullet

There were no fireworks at the beach- usually there is so I was annoyed about that :(

On the plus side I drank alcohol- literally skulled 3/4 of cadburys creme liqueor in the car- I think thats why I got drunk so quickly. Ummmmmmm also sang along to the radio... listened to the top100 countdown on the radio, different songs seemed to be faves in the car, that made us sing at the top of our voices.

Tribute- Tenacious D

Whenever Wherever- Shakira

Cherry Lips- Garbage

Lose Yourself- Eminem

Dirrrty- Christina Aguleria

That was all I could remember- then there were other songs which we changed the words to while singing... I don't think you wanna know what some of the lyrics were that we came up with *innocent look*

Oh and one of my doggies piddled on my bf *giggles* we came home and coz he isn't used to Dave (the dogs have seen Dave like twice) they kept barking at Dave, so my bf picked up Dawson (who is the smaller doggy who he likes more) and poor widdle Dawson got scared, freaked out and pee'd all over my bf :D

Here's how it went for me. My brother and i went out to eat at an Indian restaurant where I had some mediumly spicy lamb in a creamy meat sauce with some good nan bread , ooohhh, makes me hungry just thinking about it :drool1: . Anyway, nature helped me ring in the new year by giving me a case of diarrhea on New Year's Eve. Must've been the spicy Indian food. I do work volunteer work at a hospital doing file work retrieving radiology files and sending them up to the x-ray department, so i arranged to have the day off and make it up later in the week so me and a friend could go up Northhampton, small college town. What we were planning to do was attend an arts and crafts all day long celebration there. They'd have mostly music performers, theater entertainment performers. This link here gives you an idea of what goes on there. http://dbease.gazettenet.com/dbEase/cgi-bin/go_get.pl I called my friend that day to see if he was willing to go, but a stomach virus knocked him out for the day due to a Chinese buffet he ate last night. He basically ate some squid, octopus, and some shrimp. That left me to stay home because my dad had things to do around the house, as did my brother, and my mom was just recovering being sick.Seeing how everyone was doing their own thing (and i can't drive), that just left me to putz around the house doing nothing, with the occasional mad dash to the bathroom. When it was time to count it down, my family and i did nothing special. We all just went on with business as usual, and i was up in my room, surfing the web, chatting, and catching the occasional look at the tv. Well i watched the ball drop and happy 2003. woo-hoo. Well the next day i called my friend to see if he was feeling any better, and he made an excellent recovery, seeing how it was a small 24 hour thing he must've suffered from. The weather was good, so we decided to take advantage of it while we can (we just had a small amount of snow dropped on us and we were just receiving a break, with some more on the way) and we headed up to Northhampton. We first hit an Acme Surplus store, checking out the various merchandise they had, like small toys, bumper stickers on racks, discount gloves and socks, things like that. After that we moved on to a used record and cd's store. We looked around there for a bit, and I managed to pick up in the dollar bin of used records a greatest hits record of Jerry Lee Lewis and The Moody Blues- In Search of the Lost Chord. If you enjoy great music, i highly recommend searching the dollar bins at used record and cd's stores. If you have a record player and appreciate how rare vinyl is, then you can find some real gems in there for cheap. All you need is some record cleaner and if you treat it with respect (place the needle gently so as not to scratch it, handle it by the edges so as not to get your skin oil on it, keep it clean) then you'll get some real good longevity out of it. I'm not old enough to have lived through the era of record players (I was born in 1979 and records were just on their way out in the mid-to late 80's and cd's were just coming up and i was too busy being a kid to notice) but that's what 've heard from my dad and other people who've owned records. After that we moved on and briefly split up. He went to Faces, an amusement store which has a lot of amusing stuff there. You can spend a lot of time there having fun with all the cool toys they have there. It's just somewhere you have to check out for yourself if you're ever in the Amherst/Northhampton college area of western massachusetts. While he was there I spent some time at The Raven Used Books, a used book store that mainly specializes in used college text books and literature. I poked around there and managed to get Two Years Behind the Mast by Richard Henry Dana, Jr., which is an account of his service as a seaman aboard a ship sailing from Boston to California around Cape Horn during the age of sail. It'll be a great book, reading about seaman life and what they endured. I also got The Lais of Marie de France. They're basically a collection of medieval poetry, and a lais is a poetic form. And finally I got The Canterbury Tales, by Geoffrey Chaucer. After i made my purchase i made my way to Faces, hung out with my friend there, and after that we walked around and dropped in at a small healthfood cafe called Haymarket, where we grabbed a small bite. He got some kind of coconut drink, I got a drink made of carrot, beet, spinach, and some kind of seaweed. Yeah, I know, strange eh? And yes, it did taste strange. It was an interesting taste, seeing how the carrot and beet flavor dominated. After that we walked around some more and made our way back home. As you can see, I myself had quite an interesting time during New Years, and I'm sure glad I had fun while I could.

Actually i'm able to get that in because i'm not signed up for college courses. I forgot to sign up for one semester, so the clock is ticking for me to sign up for the next one, other wise it'll be nothing but me going in to the hospital 3 days a week and farting around the house on the days i have off. (i work mondays, tuesdays and wednesdays. My job is extremely flexible. If my boss isn't coming on on any of those days, i get the same day off as he does and i make it up later in the week)

Say Neil, what's your Northhampton like? I think you'd enjoy it here. It's a nice little college town with nice places to eat, fun stores to check out, and with people coming in from nearby Smith College, Mt. Holyoke down in South Hadley, and people from Amherst College and UMASS over in Amherst, you should get some really diverse people coming in. Also, as i said before, if you're a music or literature buff, there are book stores and record stores to check out, and there are also some good ice cream places to grab a quick bite. Herrel's over by the parking garage is good, and Barts, just down the sidewalk from Faces, across from the Academy of Music is good. If you want to have a crazy health drink like i had Haymarket has more of the same but with probably some ingredrients tamer than seaweed but still rather exotic. There's also a nice little cafe just across from Raven called Fire and Water. It's a quiet little vegetarian cafe where you can simply drop in, grab small bite, a little drink, and give yourself a chance to rest your legs. One nice thing about it is small local bands and performers play there on some nights, and you can catch them for free. If you were to come and check out the town, you'd have yourself a blast. With all the fun little stores and nice restaurants to check out, you'll surely have fun. Every time I go up there I manage to have fun because there's always something neat to look at in the stores and chances are you might find something you like there. Oftentimes whenever I go up i manage to come home with a haul of books from Raven, and maybe a cd or record. If I can find something as interesting (at least to me) as a Jerry Lee Lewis in a dollar bin, then you can surely find something there. Like this little devil duck which can be found at FacesFrom the depths of Hell to your bath tub, who knew that evil could look so cute?

Well, the Big Ben tower is pretty much our national landmark, and it's a clock, so it's always used as the "correct" time for New Year's. Geez, surely you know that...

Big Ben is like the Statue of Liberty for the UK, a big symbol of the British. Am I right?

not really, it's just a big bell (not the clock itself, as many people come to mis comprehend, it's the bell that chimes on the hour and half hour that is actually got the name Big ben. but these days people have come to know the clock tower as big ben and so it's hard to define which is really big ben)

like? i mean, we both agreed that big ben wasn't (or isn't) much. no french arse lickers gave it to us, there's not big arse woman holding a torch and some books (possible fire hassard there?) it's just a clock with is a few seconds earlier than grenich mean time, so it isn't even a very good clock (although my watch is worse, it gets faster by the hour :D )

so i really don't see why we need to sit down and chat (even though we chat allt he time anyway)
