GUNNER
every cable I have seen has two connections on it. and you might as well keep them both onthere so you can burn strait from your CDrom.
Kuuki
exactly whats the need for two cdroms? hardly any... aside one being a cd-rw, makes it very different. thus meaning whats the point keeping the rom?

BCanr2d2
Makes it a lot easier to do a CD copy, you don't have to take out the CD to put in the CD-R...... It is a lot easier that way, and with some of the CD to CD copying, they need to have the two drives... BTW, it's good having two CD drives, I have a CDRW and a DVD drive, along with 2 HDD, so my IDE channels are completely full...
edlib
I'd be lost without 2 CD drives. One of them is a DVD-ROM, but if I didn't have that, I would have at least a CD-ROM and a CD-RW. I hate working on the PC at work that only has a CD-RW... When you want to copy something you have to save it to the hard drive first. So inefficient. My next PC will have at least 2 optical drives, and maybe more now that USB2 is starting to come around.
edlib
Oh, and 15... I have at least half a dozen IDE cables floating about here from all the various hard drives I've installed over the years. There's one sitting right on the desk I'm typing this on. I'd offer them to you, but the cost of shipping them from here to you is probably more than they're worth. Just go to the local computer store and ask,.. they'll probably just give you one. They can't cost anything even if you do have to buy one. GUNNER
For the longest time all I had was my CDrom. then I just bought me a Lite-on 48x24x48 burner and I slaved it in. Why get rid of the old palin jane unit when you don't need to.
