Thrift
Those two new screenshots from starwars.com both seem to show damaged scenery (well, walls and floor anyway) in the background. I thought that was vaguely interesting, is there any word (that I must have missed) on just how damageable scenery will be, and how permanent? I think I've seen holes in walls and such in previous screenshots, but I think these are the only ones that struck me as clearly being due to player interaction and not merely part of the texture. -=Hooded-Jedi=-
Ya i really noticed those mark the first time i was looking at the screenshots too. I simply thought it was marks from a blaster or maybe a lightsaber?

Hannibal
Speaking of blaster marks. It be cool if in the game a jedi had the ability to open a door with his lightsaber like Qui-Gon in EpI. That would be a cool animation.

Thrift
Yes it certainly would rock. Anyone care to explain the bash-command to a NWN virgin?
Darth Zaius
lightsabers going through walls?!!!! that would be awesome, and it would be useful if you were held captive hmmm...

Thrift
Oic Ta. Yeah that would be good, but I suspect might create issues of continuity or make the gameplay a bit unbalanced. Ie. Having Jedi just running around melting doors all the time. If they don't include the feature it will probably be for the same reason that they aren't including jumping (outside of combat). Notion
They're not including jumping outside of combat? For what reason? I've heard nothing and read nothing in the FAQ about this so it is news to me. Surely a mistake..?

Either that or doors that have unpickable locks.
Thrift
I can't remember where they have said it (surely Com can help though), but they made an announcement saying that they would not be including jumping as they felt it would detract from the idea of the game being an RPG adventure rather than a platform game. Maybe it was at the forums, I will have a look for you.
Thrift
Hmmm I can't find it... I'm fairly sure I'm not making it up though I think I've got the right game here. Can anyone help me out?
Hannibal
Originally posted by Thrift Maybe it was at the forums, I will have a look for you. I remember reading that, too. Like Eets said though they could make indestructable doors. It would have been cool to get this question in earlier that way if they weren't going to do it and decided it was something they wanted to implement then theyd have the time to do it. But I'd rather the game not have it and come out within the next 2-3 months. They can put it in the next one.
-=Hooded-Jedi=-
No jumping during combat??? Someone help me out here...i might be mistaken?

I think he said outside of combat. If he did then they did say there wouldn't be any of that. Like no areas that you can't reach so you have to jump to them. No Force Jump in other words. Thrift
Yeah thanks Hannibal that's the one, I knew I had read it somewhere. Mmm I meant outside of combat, you do lots of aerobatics during combat I think... Yeah, it's a shame nobody thought of door-melting earlier. Oh well, I still would not be suprised if that feature is in the game somewhere, if perhaps only in a cut-scene. Ohh and umm I think you might have linked to the wrong screenshot jedi
-=Hooded-Jedi=-
Ohh and umm I think you might have linked to the wrong screenshot jedi Nope its the right one, cuz i thought u guys were talkin about no jumping DURING combat and i was showing the screenshot to prove wrong but i mistakened in the topic. hehe

The site must have changed the address on him. It was the one with the Jedi leaping in the air and Bastila with here double bladed saber fighting 2 Sith.
