bucket-o'-mudd Posted January 23, 2003 Posted January 23, 2003 I heard a while back (actually about 3 years ago when Ron visitied #monkey-island) that some people were developing a program that lets you write graphic adventures known as SCRAMM. There was a link to it on the Scumm Revisited website, but it didn't work. So what has become of this project? I'd also like to know if any fans have made proper fan games based on Monkey Island or any other Lucasarts adventures
Remi Posted January 23, 2003 Posted January 23, 2003 To the best of my knowledge, SCRAMM is dead. As for proper fan games, I've yet to see one that didn't make me cry, unless of course you count mini games like these: http://www.scummbar.com/stuff/games/.
jannar85 Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Actually, there's been developed a lot of engines, which you can make an adventure game with. Among them are AGS (the most powerful IMO), Sludge ($$$), Wintermute (Still in its early stages), and finally AGAST and RoBot. Here's the link to AGS: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk
Chuck the Plant Posted January 30, 2003 Posted January 30, 2003 heh... i remember SCRAMM... is there actually a "good" and "fully operational" engine for adventure game makin?
