Dark Sad Shadow
They are from Sopor Aeternus: Only the Dead in the Mist Old, senseless thoughts half frozen in loneliness, faster and faster we’re spinning in circles; imprisoned in pain, floating without sound, the dead in the mist aimlessly wandering around. Our sad eyes say: "We have lost our view !" Dead souls without rest, the graves are lonely and cold. But the promised peace I’m afraid we’ll never find, for this place it lies so far beyond the cruelest light... */*/*/* and... Time stands still... (...but stops for no-one) That little mountain rises, while others dissolve into a plain. Time re-defines itself and falls in sadness grain by grain... "Time heals all the wounds", the two-tongued echos seem to say. But nothing, nothing changes..., the pain remains, won't pass away. I went weak as I grew old, and time itself has made me slow and as I close my eyes in sadness a thousand seasons come and go... Mighty enough to cover all and also cruel enough to reveal, but the wounds and scars I carry neither force nor kiss can heal. No, time heals nothing, nothing, nothing...- spitefully turns away and laughs. Leaves you half-broken and in defiance is only added another scar... Call it ´blind´ how I am writhing, counting hours, centuries...- the pain it grows and glows in tides, unable to vanish, unwilling to cease... No, time heals nothing, nothing, nothing...- pushes ´till we´re diving into different flesh. Time heals nothing, nothing, nothing in the coldness on the inner flames... Time´s fingers claw, I am losing hold, there is no hope for me on earth. Time either still or maybe rushing...- in any case it will turn out worse. Time is fleeting, time stands still, it stops for no-one and we´re trapped within. And though I may dream of the light, iI am falling back (in)to the left-hand side... "How I wish that I was dead and rest in final peace...- but even the luxury of death can´t cure the wounds time cannot heal" */*/*/ hope you like them, if you want to discuss about them im here. Darth Groovy
Coolness. Here are two of my favorites: Heroes I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can beat them, just for one day We can be Heroes, just for one day And you, you can be mean And I, I'll drink all the time 'Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact Yes we're lovers, and that is that Though nothing, will keep us together We could steal time, just for one day We can be Heroes, for ever and ever What d'you say? I, I wish you could swim Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim Though nothing, nothing will keep us together We can beat them, for ever and ever Oh we can be Heroes, just for one day I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can be Heroes, just for one day We can be us, just for one day I, I can remember (I remember) Standing, by the wall (by the wall) And the guns, shot above our heads (over our heads) And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall) And the shame, was on the other side Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever Then we could be Heroes, just for one day We can be Heroes We can be Heroes We can be Heroes Just for one day We can be Heroes We're nothing, and nothing will help us Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay But we could be safer, just for one day Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh, just for one day _David Bowie Ashes To Ashes Do you remember a guy that's been In such an early song I've heard a rumour from Ground Control Oh no, don't say it's true They got a message from the Action Man "I'm happy, hope you're happy too I've loved all I've needed to love Sordid details following" The shrieking of nothing is killing Just pictures of Jap girls in synthesis and I Ain't got no money and I ain't got no hair But I'm hoping to kick but the planet it's glowing CHORUS Ashes to ashes, funk to funky We know Major Tom's a junkie Strung out in heaven's high Hitting an all-time low Time and again I tell myself I'll stay clean tonight But the little green wheels are following me Oh no, not again I'm stuck with a valuable friend "I'm happy, hope you're happy too" One flash of light but no smoking pistol I never done good things I never done bad things I never did anything out of the blue, woh-o-oh Want an axe to break the ice Wanna come down right now CHORUS REPEAT My mother said to get things done You'd better not mess with Major Tom _David Bowie
Darth Homer
right now I'm a bit wierd...I've got a wide range of tastes as it is, right now my two favorite songs are: Through the woodland, through the valley Comes a horseman wild and free Tilting at the windmills passing Who can the brave young horseman be He is wild but he is mellow He is strong but he is weak He is cruel but he is gentle He is wise but he is meek Reaching for his saddlebag He takes a battered book into his hand Standing like a prophet bold He shouts across the ocean to the shore Till he can shout no more I have come o'er moor and mountain Like the hawk upon the wing I was once a shining knight Who was the guardian of a king I have searched the whole world over Looking for a place to sleep I have seen the strong survive And I have seen the lean grown weak See the children of the earth Who wake to find the table bare See the gentry in the country Riding off to take the air Reaching for his saddlebag He takes a rusty sword into his hand Then striking up a knightly pose He shouts across the ocean to the shore Till he can shout no more See the jailor with his key Who locks away all trace of sin See the judge upon the bench Who tries the case as best he can See the wise and wicked ones Who feed upon life's sacred fire See the soldier with his gun Who must be dead to be admired See the man who tips the needle See the man who buys and sells See the man who puts the collar On the ones who dare not tell See the drunkard in the tavern Stemming gold to make ends meet See the youth in ghetto black Condemned to life upon the street Reaching for his saddlebag He takes a tarnished cross into his hand Then standing like a preacher now He shouts across the ocean to the shore Then in a blaze of tangled hooves He gallops off across the dusty plain In vain to search again Where no one will hear Through the woodland, through the valley Comes a horseman wild and free Tilting at the windmills passing Who can the brave young horseman be He is wild but he is mellow He is strong but he is weak He is cruel but he is gentle He is wise but he is meek --Don Quixote by Gordon Lightfoot (folky-stuff) Wanna tell you about the girl I love My she looks so fine She's the only one that I been dreamin' of Maybe someday she will be all mine I wanna tell her that I love her so I thrill with her every touch I need to tell her she's the only one I really love I got a woman, wanna ball all day I got a woman, she won't be true, no I got a woman, stay drunk all the time I said I got a little woman and she won't be true Sunday morning when we go down to church See the menfolk standin' in line I said they come to pray to the Lord With my little girl, looks so fine In the evening when the sun is sinkin' low Everybody's with the one they love I walk the town, Keep a-searchin' all around Lookin' for my street corner girl I got a woman, wanna ball all day I got a woman, she won't be true, no no I got a woman, stay drunk all the time I said I got a little woman and she won't be true In the bars, with the men who play guitars Singin', drinkin' and rememberin' the times My little lover does a midnight shift She balled around all the time I guess there's just one thing a-left for me to do Gonna pack my bags and move on my way Cause I got a worried mind Sharin' what I thought was mine Gonna leave her where the guitars play I got a woman, she won't be true, no no I got a woman, wanna ball all day I got a woman, stay drunk all the time I got a little woman and she won't be true (Hey hey what can I do) I said she won't be true (Hey Hey, What can I say?) Darth Groovy
These are both found on the David Bowie Album: Outside. To me the first one is a good representation of despair. I was once in love with someone who did not feel the same about me, and this song accurately portrays the way I felt at the time. It makes me weep. (even more recently then I care to admit) The second is just freaking amazing, it was also also modified and used in the film Starship Troopers The Motel For we're living in a safety zone Don't be holding back from me We're living from hour to hour down here And we'll take it when we can It's a kind of living which recognizes The death of the odourless man When nothing is vanity nothing's too slow It's not Eden but it's no sham There is no hell There is no shame There is no hell Like an old hell There is no hell And it's lights up, boys Lights up boys Explosion falls upon deaf ears While we're swimming in a sea of sham Living in the shadow of vanity A complex fashion for a simple man And there is no hell And there is no shame And there is no hell Like an old hell There is no hell And the silence flies on its brief flight A razor sharp crap shoot affair And we light up our lives And there's no more of me exploding you Re-exposing you Like everybody do Re-exploding you I don't know what to use Make somebody move Me exploding Me exploding you _David Bowie I Have Not Been To Oxford Town Baby Grace is the victim She was 14 years of age And the wheels are turning, turning For the finger points at me All's well But I have not been to Oxford Town All's well No I have not been to Oxford Town Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies And the prison priests are decent My attorney seems sincere I fear my days are numbered Lord get me out of here All's well But I have not been to Oxford Town All's well But I have not been to Oxford Town Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies This is your shadow on my wall This is my flesh and blood This is what I could've been And the wheels are turning and turning As the 20th century dies If I had not ripped the fabric If time had not stood still If I had not met Ramona If I'd only paid my bill All's well But I have not been to Oxford Town All's well But I have not been to Oxford Town Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies This is my bunk with two sheets This is my food though foul This is what I could have been Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies All's well 20th century dies All's well All's well, all's well Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies Toll the bell Pay the private eye All's well 20th century dies

Look Back In Anger "You know who I am," he said The speaker was an angel He coughed and shook his crumpled wings Closed his eyes and moved his lips "It's time we should be going" (Waiting so long, I've been waiting so, waiting so) Look back in anger, driven by the night Till you come (Waiting so long, I've been waiting so, waiting so) Look back in anger, see it in my eyes Till you come No one seemed to hear him So he leafed through a magazine And, yawning, rubbed the sleep away Very sane he seemed to me (Waiting so long, I've been waiting so, waiting so) Look back in anger, driven by the night Till you come (Waiting so long, I've been waiting so, waiting so) Look back in anger, feel it in my voice Till you come (Waiting so long, ahhh...) Lord Fergie
Thesong ecery one knows ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There´s a lady who´s sure all that glitter is gold. And she´s buying a stairway to heaven. And when she gets there she knows if the store are closed. With a word she can get what she came for. There´s a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure. Cause she know sometimes words have two meanings. In a tree by the brook there´s a song bird who sings sometimes. All of our thougts are misgiven. There´s a feeling I get when I look to the west. And my spirit is crying for leaving. In my thougts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees, And the voices of those who stand looking. And it´s whispered that soon if we all call the tne. Then the piper will lead us to reason. And a new day will dawn for those who stand long. And the forests will echo with laughter. And it makes me wonder. If there´s a bustle in your hedgerow don´t be alarmed now. It´s just a spring clean for the May-Queen. Yes there two paths you can go by. But in the long run. There´s still time to change the road you´re on. Your head is humming and it won´t go - in case you don´t know. The pipers calling you to join him. Dear lady can you hear the wind blow. And did you know your stairway lies on the whispering wind. And as we wind on down the road. Our shadows taller than our soul. There walks a lady we all know. Who shines white light and wants to show. How everything still turns to gold. And if you listen very hard the tune will come to you at last. When all are one and one is all. To be a rock and not to roll. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What do you think its about? I think its about... Dark Sad Shadow
i think i know what it means but i wont say it here is another 2 that makes me cry, yes i miss alot my Girlfriend, but well things happen, in fact these songs make me feel a little sad but happy too. Farewell [Gabriel] Days had come, winters had gone, and we gamboled like siblings in Paradise. I was your knight, holding you tight as a brother when I saw your crying eyes. Time went by and we had to say goodbye. Staring up to the clouds above Children - so little and sad. Hoping the saints could help one day Lead us together again. Holding the key to the alley of dreams still in hands. Time telling me to say farewell but I knew that I would fight hell and I knew: We will go for another time we can see, for another time we'll be free, for no more farewell. [Anna] Stepbrother tell me where have you been when they brought me to this godforsaken place. Sign of the cross - they took me away for healing with herbs by the way of grace. Now I wait for the day to feed the flames. [Gabriel] I have been caught in a cage of despair. My heart as a monk's cell so empty and bare. But no holy water can make me forget you again... Time telling me to say farewell but I knew that I would fight hell and I knew: We will go for another time we can see, for another time we'll be free, for no more farewell. [Lugaid] No farewell could be the last one. If you long to meet again... */*/*/* Anywhere [Gabriel:] I remember it was long ago But when I think of her I fell it grow Something begs me to come home again Something I can hardly stand But I'm to defy, I have to ignore her cry I don't know what to do, I'm missing you so bad Waiting for tomorrow, for a little ray of light Waiting for tomorrow just to see your smile again Take away my sorrow from a blistered heart of mine Where are you now if you are there anywhere Please forgive me for how I decide But before I can come with rapid strides Don't expect you'll have to understand Jakob needs my helping hand First I have to go one out of two ways Wich both are wrong and I'm to go So afraid, so ashamed So deranged - but I know... Waiting for tomorrow, for a little ray of light Waiting for tomorrow just to see your smile again Take away my sorrow from a blistered heart of mine Where are you now if you are there anywhere [solo: Henjo Richter] Waiting for tomorrow, for a little ray of light... I can't wait for you - Are you there - anywhere */*/* whaddaya think?

Darth Groovy
These are taken from The Man Who Sold The World The Supermen When all the world was very young And mountain magic heavy hung The supermen would walk in file Guardians of a loveless isle And gloomy browed with superfear their tragic endless lives Could heave nor sigh In solemn, perverse serenity, wondrous beings chained to life Strange games they would play then No death for the perfect men Life rolls into one for them So softly a supergod cries Where all were minds in uni-thought Power weird by mystics taught No pain, no joy, no power too great Colossal strength to grasp a fate Where sad-eyed mermen tossed in slumbers Nightmare dreams no mortal mind could hold A man would tear his brother's flesh, a chance to die To turn to mold. Far out in the red-sky Far out from the sad eyes Strange, mad celebration So softly a supergod cries Far out in the red-sky Far out from the sad eyes Strange, mad celebration So softly a supergod dies _David Bowie Width Of A Circle In the corner of the morning in the past I would sit and blame the master first and last All the roads were straight and narrow And the prayers were small and yellow And the rumour spread that I was aging fast Then I ran across a monster who was sleeping By a tree. And I looked and frowned and the monster was me Well, I said hello and I said hello And I asked "Why not?" and I replied "I don't know" So we asked a simple black bird, who was happy as can be And he laughed insane and quipped "KAHLIL GIBRAN" So I cried for all the others till the day was nearly through For I realized that God's a young man too So I said "So long" and I waved "Bye-bye" And I smashed my soul and traded my mind Got laid by a young bordello I was vaguely half asleep For which my reputation swept back home in drag And the moral of this magic spell Negotiates my hide When God did take my logic for a ride (Riding along) Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh He swallowed his pride and puckered his lips And showed me the leather belt round his hips My knees were shaking my cheeks aflame He said "You'll never go down to the Gods again" (Turn around,go back!) He struck the ground a cavern appeared And I smelt the burning pit of fear We crashed a thousand yards below I said "Do it again, do it again" (Turn around,go back!) His nebulous body swayed above His tongue swollen with devil's love The snake and I, a venom high I said "Do it again, do it again" (Turn around, go back!) Breathe, breathe, breathe deeply And I was seething, breathing deeply Spitting sentry, horned and tailed Waiting for you Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh _David Bowie
El Sitherino
Bad Religion Suffer (1988) Do What You Want Hey do what you want, but don't do it around me. Idleness and dissipation breed apathy. I sit on my ass all goddamn day, A misanthropic anthropoid with nothing to Say what you must, do all you can, Break all the ****ing rules and Go to Hell with Superman and Die like a champion, yeah hey! Hey I don't know if the billions will survive, But I'll believe in God when 1 and 1 are 5. My moniker is man and I'm rotten to the core. I'll tear down the building just to pass through the door. So do what you must, do all you can, Break all the ****ing rules and Go to Hell with Superman and Die like a champion, yeah hey! Bad Religion No Control (1989) I Want To Conquer The World Hey Brother Christian with your high and might errand, Your actions speak so loud, I can't hear a word you're saying. Hey Sister Bleeding Heart with all of your compassion, Your labors soothe the hurt but can't assuage temptation. Hey man of science with your perfect rules of measure, Can you improve this place with the data that you gather? Hey Mother Mercy can your loins bear fruit forever? Is your fecundity a trammel or a treasure? And I want to conquer the world, Give all the idiots a brand new religion, Put an end to poverty, uncleanliness and toil, Promote equality in all my decisions With a quick wink of the eye And a 'God you must be joking!' Hey Mr. Diplomat with your worldly aspirations, Did you see the children cry when you left them at the station? Hey moral soldier you've got righteous proclamation, And precious tomes to fuel your pulpy conflagrations. And I want to conquer the world, Give all the idiots a brand new religion, Put an end to poverty, uncleanliness and toil, Promote equality in all of my decisions I want to conquer the world, Expose the culprits and feed them to the children, I'll do away with air pollution and then all save the whales, We'll have peace on earth and global communion. Luke Skywalker
The Beatles - Let it Be (one of my all time favourite songs) When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And when the broken hearted people Living in the world agree, There will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is Still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Yeah There will be an answer, let it be. And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
