BigTeddyPaul Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 For those of you who do not know what Bruce Almighty is it is Jim Carrey's newest movie. Short Trailer here Anyways I was one of about 200 or so people to be privy to watching it early as a test group to see what we thought about it. Story goes: 40 year old Jim Carrey works as a 2nd tier reporter covering stuff that comes on 3/4 of the way through the show and eventually gets fired because his opposition gets the anchor job instead of him. Then all sorts of bad things happen to him and eventually he blames God for everything. He makes the distinct comment of, "Would it be so hard to spend 5 minutes to fix my life," or something close to that effect. Carrey then goes and meets God/Morgan Freeman and he gives him the power of God for a while. Then Carrey does his usual pranks AS GOD so it is pretty cool. THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART is that Jennifer Aniston is Carrey's girlfriend and he has some fun with her on the first night of his diety he does some cool what every guy would like to do things. All I can say is pppllleeasssuree. Carrey then learns how hard it is to be God and he learns how much he had when he thought he had nothing. If you like typical funny Jim Carrey movies then this one will be right up your alley. The begginning is great. The middle is pretty good, and the ending was a little long but it was a decent movie to go see. BigTeddyPaul
Pedantic Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 As good as Dumb and Dumber? I'm guessing not...
BigTeddyPaul Posted February 22, 2003 Author Posted February 22, 2003 Nothing is as good as Dumb and Dumber. BigTeddyPaul
Hekx Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 Not even Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd?
Hekx Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 Heh, the trailer's good. I might go see it, but I said that about Resident Evil, and I didn't go. I'll definetly rent it out though. Good review.

It cannot be seen for at least 3 more pages (didn't go back to see how far). I wrote a small review about the movie which I have seen and posted a link for those people who do not have any idea what Joe Almighty is. Not a little late. I am actually a little early since the movie is not open for the general public until Memorial Weekend I think. BigTeddyPaul

You're a little early, and he's old news.

He did that too with the Father Torque fondation. I guess he just copied and pasted Torqueys thread (according to Torque) and put his own title in it. If he thinks that I am a little late then I do not know how early I have to really be. BigTeddyPaul
BlackDove Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 Thanks for the tip, I'll try to catch the movie sometime soon. Couple of Carrey's movies were actually good
