Breton Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Jango. He has superior skill and lots of nifty weapons, most likely a good deal more than the number we see in ep2. Anakin is a bit overconfident, and if you mix that with anger, you'll get a guy that will, sooner or later, make mistakes. And if you are facing a flying bounty hunter with dual blasters, whipcord, flame thrower and rocket launcher (plus probably a lot more) you can't afford to do mistakes.

Sivy Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 what everyone seems to forget is.. yoda's instructions to obi-wan was too bring jango in ALIVE, meaning obi-wan couldn't use deadly force. i think had obi-wan be able to kill jango he would have done it as easily as mace did. but to the question of anakin being able to.. yes i think he could of.

ras1310 Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Anakin. First off, Mace Windu handled Jango fairly easily, and Anakin is probably near his level as a fighter. Second, my take on the Obi-wan-Jango fight is that it gives us evidence of how a canny Jedi could overcome all of Jango's supposed advantages. If anything, Anakin might have handled it better than Obi-wan. Combat is definitely Anakin's area. Of course, this all assumes that Anakin wouldn't do something stupid right at the start and get himself shot.
