Hannibal Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 I just saw this. This movie freaked me out. Somebody hold my hand... Hey!!! No guys!!! This was a good movie. I might rent the original (Ringu). They did a good job of editing when it came to showing the dead folks. Erie.

Rogue15 Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 it was overhyped and i expected to be scared to paranoia, but no, not at 3 am in the morning....=/ i hate when they advertise people being SCARED that just makes you want to LAUGH at it....=/ i did take notice however, that i answer phones less.

Darth Simpson Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 I thought the start and build-up of the Japanese version was well made, and kinda freaky. With the video and phone calls and all that. But after that it seemed to really lose its thunder. Sadaku wasn't scary at all, neither was the TV scene. It had a lot of potential, I just though it was wasted on a bad ending. There's a bunch more movies about The Ring though, so maybe they're better.

Darth Simpson Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 If you ever see Ringu, would you tell me if it's worth seeing the american remake? Even if I didn't like Ringu, I might like the remake better.
