The_One Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 There was a successful hacking attempt made on our server - the hacker got into the root, and managed to screw a load of things up. The LFN admins are having to re-install a tonne of software and change all the logins. As a result, the server has been down. However, we are now moving to a brand new server, so things should run a lot faster - especially with all the latest software. And reaper, there are loopholes and back ways into any site - no version of any software is full proof. If a hacker knows what he is doing, he can really mess stuff up...
