TheJackal
Listen to all this resonable talk, that's right. What would raising tax do, and how can they only raise the tax on fast food? That's ubsurd and illogical. raising taxes on certain restaurants is as easy as raising taxes on softwood lumber (all canadians should understand this) The USA raised taxes on all Canadian softwood, thus making it more expansive to american companies (which in turn makes them want to buy american wood) By raising taxes on fast food corporate giants it forces the companies to reduce the ammount of stores per radius ever noticed how certain restaurants like Starbucks pop in a huge number in a region. the huge ammount of stores chock up the independant and local competition forcing them to go out of business. Starbucks can afford the lowered customer lost per store because there are so many. however the idependant stores cannot. Anyways, i was hoping more or less to have a serious conversation about politics, corporates and etc with people on this forum. obviously this is not possible. sorry for wasting your time.
