Lunatic Jedi
Geh... WHAT IS AN FTP PROGRAM?! ACK! MY BRAIN!
coupes.
a FTP program uses the File Transfer Protocol (hence ftp) to upload data to a server, in other words, uploading your sig image on the lycos servers. I am surprised that they don't have a uploading feature though, it's much simpler if you only want to upload some files from time to time.
Guest Jed
Originally posted by Padanime dont use tripod, its doesnt alow pic linking. On the contrary, mon ami - Upload your sig, but change the name to a *.txt file. Tripod will load remotely link .txt files, but if that txt is a pic, it'll never know ^^
Lunatic Jedi
Alrighty. I've got the FTP program. I just need to know what the directory is for the remote site. Does anybody know what the directory for the lycos servers is?
Pad
is you have an account at lycos you need these settings for your ftp program: ftp server: ftp.members.lycos.co.uk user id: your account name (for example, mine is padanime) password: the password you gave to that account now hit connect and vwala
-=ReApEr=-
If you want a easier way, i will host any sig images for you. Just email me them to reaper@jediknightiii.co.uk. Then they will appear here.
