Datheus
Holy. Crap. Dude... Dual 64 bit 2ghz processors. (Potential) 8gb of memory. 1ghz FSB. The list goes on... You could put a hole in a tank with that much power The only problem is that it's 3,000 dollars:( I think after I get a new PC, I might save up for one though... I want it so bad it hurts... KBell
Alienware and Falcon N can put together a better computer if you have 3,000 dollars to plunk down on one. If i had that kind of money, i would choose Alienware......not apple
Datheus
Yeah, but PCs arn't 64 bit... And Alienware computers don't come close to touching that preformace for 3,000 dollars. Alienware is uber over priced, it'd be easier (and cheaper) to build an Alienware-like computer for myself
KBell
Price doesn't always reflect proformance of a PC, it also reflects off of it's operating system and the accessablility to upgrade it more easily. Plus, Alienware might be expensive, but you get what you pay for....which is a top of the line pc, great technicle support, and a very trustworthy company ( not that Apple isn't)
TheJackal
is this an othe Mac user I see? Yeah G5 are extremly nice but I will probebly never be the owner for such a machine. My next computer related expenses will be a top notch scanner (its hard to find one with firewiire technology) and then maybe the Apple flatscreen monitors. I'm still happy with my G4. Its so easy to upgrade too so I will probebly be able to use it up to maybe 10 years.
KBell
Its hard to find quality Flat-screen moniters that not distort or blur when your playing a high-paced action game. So if you find one Jackle, grip it with Kung-Fu grip
Datheus
I'm not so much a Mac user.. In fact, I don't know anything about them. In FACT, I used to hate them... But they've improved a LOT since the OS 8 days... My first priority is a new PC... PCs are just too 'open-source', if you will, to not have one... Macs are awfully propreitary in terms of hardware and some software... But you just can't deny that the G5 is a beautiful machine. I'd love to have one to toy around with, I need to learn more about Macs at SOME point
KBell
it is a pretty beautiful piece of machinery and it would be great to toy around with in terms of high-end graphics programs and the likes or maybe installing Unreal 2 and jacking the graphicl settings all the way up and try to burn out the Mac
