Altus_Thrawn
Hello all. This thread is aimed at the weaponsmiths in our great pa. I was wondering which branch of weaponsmith you will specialize in. I will be specializing in melee. I was planning on doing munitions, until I found out that only commandos can use them. I still might develope it a bit though, to help our BH's and commando's. (Any thoughts?) So my skill order will most likely be: Novice Melee 1 Experimintation 1 Melee 2 Munitions 1 Experimintation 2 Melee 3 Munitions 2 Experimintation 3 Melee 4 Experinimtation 4 Munitions 3 Munitions

Deathstalker
Ok I have a question for weaponsmiths I know that weaponsmiths can add scopes but can they add anything else to your guns when they make them (not temporary upgrades) permanent items. I have an FWG5 with a scope and I have not seen anyone else with one. What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting things like scopes added on? Altus_Thrawn
I don't know about all guns, as I haven't looked at the schematics. Take the bowcaster for example-if I have a scope, it is an optional component. I can also make things like blaster pistol barrels, projectile feed mechanisms, etc. Well, I will be albe to when I reach novice. I have about 7k gcxp left. Jan Gaarni
Giles, yes they can. I have an E-11 carbine, which has been fitted with a longer barrel on it. Not sure what it does, but the maximum damage on it has been increased to 108, and the firing speed has been increased (or decreased, not sure which way the value is better) to 3.3. Even the penalty on the HAM has been decreased. The avatar is of a standard E-11, with an added nozzle one it. It looks kinda like the same type of nozzle that is fitted on Han Solo's pistol. Deathstalker
I was talking with Kane (weaponsmith outside of Mos Entha) andhe said that scopes can be added to pistols but all they do is increase the HAm points used and increase the wound chance slightly. As far as speed lower the number the better because that is the time it takes between firing shots. My new FWG5 is at 1.
JekRendar
My new FWG5 is at 1.8 I looked at FWG5's and most of them had about 3.8. You've seen my scoped DL44, it has 3.9! Wow, I was gimped. Anyway, yes, Kane is correct, I compared my DL44 to others without a scope and noticed the differences as you said, Giles. Query to Weaponsmiths Can anyone make Power5's? They actually have the highest, unmodified, damage per minute, according to Prima. I would like to see scoped, enlarged-barrelled, Power5's the standard issure of the =A= Military! Everyone together now... Go Asses!
Sunshine Badass
As soon as anyone here can make a better rifle than a DLT20a, can you send Arina an /tell in-game please. I have been searching for something better than what I have... So far, unsuccessful I have been. Innaccurate my rifle becomes. On a poor damage scale, I reside. Sunshine Badass
Weaponsmiths: Can you add the permanent components to weapons AFTER they are crafted, or do they have to be upgraded DURING crafting? Grask/Jackrabbit: I found an AWESOME rifle I need sliced pronto. As soon as Starsider goes back up, and you are in-game, I will be paying you a visit. :D
