azcrying.gif It's so obscenely gorgeous!!! Real time 3D, you'll be able to walk through these worlds, instead of on top of them (as in 2D), you'll be able to customize your character to look like you or unlike you.

peoples.gif You reacted to the screenshots, didn't you? Therefore the screenshots do give you some info about the game, i.e. how the game will look. If graphics mean very little to you then you should just blindfold yourself when you play games. ;)

Not at all. It simply means that we now know the possibilities of where the adventure game can go today, how it can engage us in cool experiences, in new ways, giving technology permission to augment the the intensities and enrich the subtleties.

I honestly don't see it as competition. I see it more as inspiration, an inviting nudge for us to tap into our own creative and imaginative depths to produce our own awesome game, our own vision.

And why is that?

Because the way you had put it seems to banish graphics to a dark corner. The fact is that graphics do tell us a lot about how a game - an adventure game in this case - will function, feel, and behave. These aren't the text based days of Zork anymore. Graphics have advanced so much and is offering us so much, why dismiss it as uninformative? Admit it, when you hear about a new upcoming game, one of the first thoughts you have is 'I wonder how it looks?'.

In the context of adventure games, quality of puzzles, story, characterizations, and overall gameplay will always come first!! But to toss graphics aside as non-contributing is just plain dumb, simpleminded, and disrespectful of the wonderful realities of experiencing computer games. It's like saying, "My eyes tell me nothing about how the world works."

here here! its great to see a once languid genre bursting with life once more. this game seems to be a wake up call to those who say the only future for the adventure is in its past. coupled with broken sword: the sleeping dragon, we appear to be on the advent of a new era in adventure gaming, one I am very happy to be a part of, in some small way, with ForeverDream Studios.

as for the grafics.

whatever we say an adventure, (a game) is creating a world. If the world isn't made correctly, (realism) then it fails in one standart. Also the grafics are the one part of the project it saws how the creators think of the game...it's not like the parts of the game grafics, sound, plot are not connected...;)

Well, part of it is that they're just screenshots. We haven't seen actual gameplay yet, we haven't played a demo. You can only really tell by seeing the game in action. Have you seen the movie trailer yet? Here's a download link.

I....want....

I only bought a laptop because I'm in college and it's surprisingly useful to take my computer to class for notes, since I type so much faster than I write. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much done with my general education classes now and as a music major the notes I DO have to take aren't very conducive to typing. There's no way I'm going to be able to afford a new machine until I'm out of school though, so I'm stuck with a 16MB graphics card for several years now  It sort of gives me an actual reason for opposing 3D adventure games :p JK; I'm all for new technology in adventure, even if I can't experience it... :(
