legameboy
To Tell the Tale of a Warrior The gruesome fights The dimming lights As battle settles on the valley Women and children flee Rapidly, ever in hurry While generals bow on one knee Each man, old or young Have forever sung The old tales of a warrior Who fought so bravely And died so gravely To battle he marched With his mouth parched And his body in drought His body was weak His soul was in doubt And it was all for freedom he did seek He fought hard And came back scarred With the face of loss With the face of victory Oh, the costs And the contradictory The price was paid The sacrifice was made Forever we remember The part was played By all the members Of that group That one day Many died Few lived None did hide None thrived We all honor The fallen ones We all cherish The courageous ones None will forget And all will fret The last and the next When leaders will vex And go to war And the awful blood and gore Will be spilled for others

Darth Eggplant
As a child and a boy I always liked Poetry Poetry and Flowers; both I learned to shun. Which was foolish now that I realize I am a Tri-annual Petunia. I readily admit my Love of both now; Flowers: Nature's Poetry Flowers are Poets. Budding forth from a seed planted with care growing into a wondrous thing a thing of great Beauty. Wild Flowers I like best Store Bought Flowers are Beautiful too, there is Beauty in all Flowers. None Diminish in front of mine eyes but I am sad; Cultured Flowers sadden me. Cultivated in soft ground, destined like cattle for the slaughter. Adorning the lapels of the "Beautiful People". Flowers are Poetry none-the-less Store bought or not. To see a Rose in all their colour even a Funeral Rose, is Divine. The Meadow Daisy, clumsy cousin of the Field still holds high esteem for me. Flowers, Pistons and Stamens; every Fragrance, even Plastic appeal to me. Imagine a World without Flowers Flowers are here to stay, look in the Tundra Inhuman conditions yet Flowers still clinging tenaciously to life. Flowers are a Blessing in any Country or Culture They Flourish with the Hidden Beauty that God placed in them.
Darth Eggplant
Truth is the Absolute Lie and an Ultimate Truth is an Ultimate Lie for Truth is Relevant just as Gravity is to Planets as God might be to Christians to tell the Truth is to Label and to Lie is to Shape or Form and since Reality is, the Biggest Form or Shape of Formed Atoms Lengthy Labels, in Existence known to us our only Ultimate Truth; it is Lying and We Live the Lie. Darth Eggplant
I went Downtown, Gravity went Downtown to the main street any main street; what does it matter Gravity I met a Punker there a Punker with bright orange hair Punker Gravity meeting a Punker Downtown is common place and yet I was amazed for he wore a button on his vest which told all the rest, and this it what it said; "There is no Gravity the Earth Sucks" Gravity I thought long upon the subject went out in public, and thought; Gravity Punker then at last it came to me it is really very simple, Gravitational pull in the Cosmic order of things Subclass, Planetary Conventionalism. Gravity exists, in all aspects of Space it like it's Brethren Elements: Time Matter Energy and Magnetism they effect everything in this Cosmos Gravity on clumps of matter such as Earth, the elements simplify down into limits, in order to conform, Gravity to the set Laws of Astro-Physics Gravity; yes Gravity it's Like; no it's More Like; well lets say it's Kinda Like; Gravity. "There is no Gravity the Earth Sucks." Scientific enough for me. Yes there is no Gravity, the Punker was Right Do yourself a favour, take a Punker out for lunch. I would except; "Invisible Cows are Controlling my Life." Gravity.
Darth Eggplant
my home forum was and is GFN Grim Fandango network and for a long time i only posted there, that is where I met Lemmu and Groovy for the first time and ckcsaber. but in the Blue Casket the beatnik poet section of the GFN forum, the Groovster posted the following hree threads. one he has already used here entittled Drenched, here are the other 2 however in homage to his blue-ed-milk-ed-ness. LucasForums » Network » Grim Fandango Network » Communities » The Blue Casket » Expensive Darth Groovy Dapper Zabrak Status: Moderator Registered: Jun 2002 Location: Forbidden Planet Posts: 5408 Points: 0 Expensive This was written to be a song, I was listening to alot of Stone Temple Pilots when I wrote this. I recorded it on an 8-track with a band called Set-Up who sounded really good, but I never got to play with them because they decided to go the rap/311 sound and ditched the cool smoothe grunge sound/rock sound. Anyways, here is my song Expensive {verse 1} Passed by the lots the lost impared, broken by the bones were sold and shared, lost in a vision was the mission, could'nt explain why the planes were missing not the fault of the flawed invention not the worst of my best intentions inside I hear a voice ringin' was the fat lady singin'? {chorus} Feeling so indecisive, one more push and I might give, one last breath and I might live... ...and shine through tomorrow, one last act for the last show, take a bow for the sorrow, one more push and I might go, too expensive to swallow! {verse 2} One last twist to turn away, one last word that saved the day, magic numbers numeric pictures, broken bottles and boring lectures, puncture wounds and mobile homes, sunlight shadows casting stones, something left from the night before, something left from the life before, {chorus x 2} Feeling so indecisive, one more push and I might one more breath and I might live... ...and shine through tomorrow! One last act for the last show, take a bow for the sorrow, one more push and I might go, too expensive to swallow! (verse 3) Wilderness wanders weeping willows through the woods and under pillows pulling down into the mud passing through a passing flood standing alone on top of the flame salvation gets you once again where ever the wind may blow the others will follow {chorus x 2} Feeling so indecisive, one more push and I might one more breath and I might live... ...and shine through tomorrow! One last act for the last show, take a bow for the sorrow, one more push and I might go, too expensive to swallow! Music Darth Groovy Dapper Zabrak Status: Moderator Registered: Jun 2002 Location: Forbidden Planet Posts: 5408 Points: 0 This Is This is, the song, make it right, make it wrong. This is one time, one place, I paint a mask to fit my face, in a world replaced by a false disease can it be that we are saved by grace? People walk in front of a T.V. store an evangelisth tries to save the poor, not from poverty but from "etarnal pain" every dollar spent to help his gain. Mislead by the truth, yelling man in a telephone booth. This is the place we can't define, this is the place unscathed by time this is the place where people hide, this is the place where I reside. We build to destroy, a mind is used to erect and deploy the millions who follow their souls are empty hollow imageine the fear that comforts thousands over here and over there... Termination breeds no terror sirens in the air smoke fills the bottomless void shooting draws the paranoid conversation end with a shot communication lines tied in knots we try and try and try for what? This is the Earth, one death one Birth this is the palce where we find to explain the pace of our disgrace this is?, not this is.!! Too many years endless and fears blined by the trust to beat the fears wake up roll over bleeding from the sholder a nation growing older unstressed by whispers and hatred Winter is colder. genocide condemed by moral suicide. This is, this is, and so is this!

StormHammer
Here are a few of mine. These two are inspired by the game RUNE... Ragnarok The Rune God cries As the Titans rise And the thunder splits the sky. Through Halls of stone, Filled with shattered bone, We wander, you and I. The ravens scream, Is this just a dream? I'm near death as I walk through town. And Hel I see, Reaching up for me, As a one-eyed man falls down. Dwellers in the Dark Is this Ragnarok? The blood streams from my eyes... Dwellers in the Dark Is this Ragnarok? Who is left to hear my cries...? The Saga Of Ragnar Across the land he marched all day, To avenge his brethren lost; He swore an oath to Odin he’d Redeem them, “Any cost!” As mist roiled from the mountaintop, And thunder cracked the skies; A darkness crept across the land, But touched not Ragnar’s eyes. The frost giants snarled from their abode, As they watched the Viking near; But when they saw his fiery eyes, They all had cause to fear. They seemed alight with fiery rage, A lava flow of pain; They severed the darkness all around, And Ragnar seemed insane. A giant barred the Viking’s path, And was the first to fall; And by the time the sun had set Ragnar had killed them all. He found the entrance of a cave, And worked his way within; And as a goblin he espied, His face split in a grin. “I’ll have your hide to mend my boots, You foul underground spawn!” Cried Ragnar as he drew his axe, And blew his battle horn. The mighty blade sang through the air, And struck the Goblin’s head; With a terrible scream, a crunch, a choke, The Goblin fell - quite dead. For days he seemed to wander, Through the Goblins’ foul domain; He cleaved their skulls and smashed their bones, ‘Til he saw the light again. And as he clambered from the cave, He saw the town below; He steeled his heart and sharpened his axe; “It’s there I have to go!” He reached the outskirts of the town, And no-one barred his way; His heavy brows knit in a frown, But he would not turn away. He rushed into the dark town’s heart, And snarled with all his might: “Where are you, murderers of my kin, Are you afraid to fight?” For a moment silence filled the town, Then Ragnar looked around, And there he saw the dark vikings, Who had not made a sound. Now they screamed and raised their swords And at the Viking sped, Ragnar laughed and spun his axe, And cleaved the first fool’s head. Ragnar flexed his mighty thews, And fought with manic glee, Dark vikings’ heads littered the ground And they began to flee. “My brethren all have been avenged, My own wounds, they will heal.” But with the mists the Wendol came, To make of him their meal. As the last light of the day, Was strangled by the night, The Viking raised his bloody hands, And roared “You want a fight?” And here are some others I rustled up a while ago... Emerald Ice Emerald ice in old grey gin, Fixes your face in a rictus grin, Drinking you'll find is a treacherous sin, Throw empty bottles in the bin. Emerald ice is blazing bright, Beacons of doom in the dead of night, The drunken tramp, he looks a sight, But who are we to say what's right? Emerald ice destroys the brain, But we go back to it again, And even if we go insane, We feel no hurt, accept no pain. Emerald ice swims in the glass, Like ships abroad at sea that pass, Or lonely isles all full of grass, We all belong to a different class. Emerald ice is cold and chill, And when you drink, it makes you ill, You haven't enough to pay the bill, So you shrug your shoulders and drink your fill. Emerald ice is a dead-end lane, I won't be taking that road again, I'll walk away in the pouring rain, Until Emerald ice melts into pain. A Tale of Gallow's Tower Crenellations stark and grim Against the star-paled sky Haunting monsters dwell within Begone, for death is nigh! Shadows haunt the crusted stone While gibberings foul the air The chink of chain and gnawed old bone Come whispering down the stair. Beyond the reach of mortal mind Dwell those of olden time Tattaered skeletons in the wind Gape in tortured mime. When old Gods pace the world at night And children laugh, insane Flickering embers of hellish light Watch at the window pane. Hoof and wing, tail and claw A rictus grin besides Belies the beast under the floor Where the grim, dark reaper hides. Boredom Boredom is only a state of the mind He is right friendly, so don't be unkind There ain't nothin' better to do on this day Than sit down and wile all that Boredom away The hours are long With the stars shinin' bright You can't tell the difference From day and from night Boredom's an old friend who comes a-knockin' Lounges around 'fore we get round to talkin' The planets are set in their course for tomorrow And boredom will drive me to liquor and sorrow There are others bumming around in some files somewhere...
