Fafnir
This only works for the dark side Jedi, as far as I know... so you lightsiders are out of luck. Sorry. OK... The dead Jedi that Malak draws his power from, thus lengthening the fight MUCH more than needed, can be used by YOU. All you have to do is target them, and use Death Field. I'm not sure if anything else will work, but I know that will. Also, the bodies will heal you. So, you can either use them when you need them most, or, like me, you can just go through them all and use them at the beginning of the fight and just end the fight quickly. That is an interesting and helpful hint.
Tarrche Brigand
Actually the light side can make it significantly easier for themselves if they have force breach. While using force breach does not give you any of their health it does destroy them utterly making it impossible for Malak to absorb them and since they are already technically dead you recieve no dark side points. Rjaniz
Force lightning(or is Lightning and Breach the same?) also works for this. Pretty much any force power that destroys will kill them off I'd wager.
Jedi Disat
u can also use lightsaber throw to disable them so malak cant use them

Allronix
My brother in law also found "destroy droid" worked nicely on the chambers. No Dark Side taint, either.

Mstr_Chief
this is how i beat him fist of i had jedi star forge robes, and i also had the green nerve belt thing (it really reduces the amount of damage the lightning does to ya) b4 u face him hype ya self up on hyper battle, strenght, agility, and stanima stims also the prototype verpine shield thing is good 2 when activated then fight the fist battle i used mainly final teir critical strike(master is it? im not sure), but i also used force push (the good one not the crappy basic one) the odd occasion so that i could get a heal or 2 in if he was getting better of me with first fight over watch the lil clip of him going on about the jedi etc, then get at least a agilty(i think thats the one, the one that makes ya run faster) stim on if it has run out, then go round throwing light sabers at all the jedi, as long as ya still got ya (run faster ) stim on ya should be able to keep in front of malak, while hes chasing ya, just keep running and throwing LS till all the jedi are gone then find ya self a safe spot stim ya self up and heal then go in for a fair fight with malak, when he gets ya to mid - low health run outa there and heal with the life support med packs (should only take about 2) then go in again, cos theres no more jedi left malak cant recharge himself so keep hitiing and then running and healing till hes dead, btw i did this with a level 8 scout / 12 sentinal then sit back and enjoy the ending
Devilsfanatic
Man, that was the EASIEST boss I've ever fought in my life. The destroy droid on them works the best, and they become one with the force. As for Malak, if you have kill, even if he's saved, he'll lose health points. So here's what I did. Since you always get first shot, I used the kill power on him, and before he came at me I ran away like a scared little girl therefore disengaging combat mode. After this, I turned around zapped him with kill and ran around in circles some more. It was quite comical as my brother and I were dying of laughter just seeing Malak running around after you. This is the strategy I learned playing the game the second time. The first time I played, we were just kicking the **** out of eachother and he'd get me down.....the strategy I used was to go to the pause screen and access an advanced medpac, go into combat, hit him, pause and use another advanced medpac. I kept doing this until my health was full. Malak is so easy, I love it!
Grishnakh
When I fight him I always use a powerful energy shield (Verpine Prototype Shield or Yusanis Duelling Shield). I use master speed (which I always have) and Force Immunity, if I have it. Then I attack him with master flurry or master power attack, depending on which of them I have, until he runs to one of the dead jedi to refill his health from it. While he does this I refill my health and force from another of them with death field (I always have death field even on lightside just because of this fight), then I repeat the scenario untill all the dead jedi has been used by either me or malak and finish him off. DarthBuzzard
LordReven, please check your private messages. (UserCP>Private messages). Thank you. To beat Malak, use 1. Stims 2. Sheilds 3. Force to destroy the Jedi. Force to destroy the Jedi when they are hostile, and then stims and sheilds to duke it out till he dies. I'll post more in-depth stuff later
JediConsularAD
darth malak was voted the 2nd hardest boss in a game so its not surprising no one beats him first time
Achilles
Originally posted by JediConsularAD darth malak was voted the 2nd hardest boss in a game so its not surprising no one beats him first time Are you freakin' serious? The only time I've ever had any difficulty beating Malak (when I'm not using the Hardcore Mod) was the first time I played and that's cuz I didn't know what I was doing. Grishnakh
When I fight him now I think he's easy as hell even on difficult. But the first time I completed the game he was extremely hard, I didn't have any life support or advanced medpacks left and my character wasn't that strong. But he's definately not the hardest boss I've fought, that have to be one of the bosses in Ninja gaiden.
Cyborgninja
who is the hardest boss then?
Master-Athamay
There's actually an even easier way to beat him. You don't even have to fight him. It's called the 'dancing twi'lek cheat'. If anyone wants to know about this just reply. But if no-one wants to I won't spoil anything for anyone. 'Kay?
Thaeos
I'd be interested to hear more about this 'dancing twi'lek cheat' ... also what the hardest game boss was, or a link to this list if there is one.
StaffSaberist
I am assuming you have cheats active. If not, go to SwKotor.ini, a text file, and add the following line under [game options]: EnabelCheats=1 In-game, hit the ` key. hit TAB to see a list of cheats. Type in 'dancedancemalak' without the ' and Malak will be a dancing Twi'Lek.
RobQel-Droma
Actually StaffSaberist, I think you messed up a little. It is "dancedancemalak", just two "dance"s. The other way to defeat him is to type in "giveitem g_w_blstrpstl020", without the quotes. It gives you a blaster pistol, callled the "Insta-Kill Pistol." Special Properties: Instant Kill, DC 100. Malak won't deflect every shot you make, you know. It just takes one to get through . That is how you do it. By the way, I realize that this has probably been said, but it is easy for LS too. You don't have to be DS to get DS powers, and lots of powers will work on the trapped Jedi. I love having drain and any time Malak hits me while I am freeing them, it fills me up with vitality points.

Darth InSidious
I never found malak that hard. Tricky, but not impossible provided you have the following FPs: 1) Force Storm 2) Heal 3) Master Speed 4) Kill 5) Plague With these you and some decently upgraded sabres etc you should be fine. I thought Traya was *much* harder.....I still do. Even with mods on, she's still a b****h to defeat...
