Matt-Liell
Well I'm making a CD and I need a cover for it, I've made a couple but I'm not happy with them, so I thought why not make a CD cover contest for my swampies? So for all you photoshop users I'm a beginner hip hop Emcee And my name is Emcee Klassikul, now on the CD cover I need certain content, a clash between classical intrumentals (Violins proferred) And turntables or records, earphones etc. Now apart from that I need my name "Emcee Klassikul" and the name of the CD "Ponderin and Wonderin" Now when your done post it here and my fav will win the contest, not sure of the prize yet but we'll see! Now be sure to have it saved also as a .psd cause I might want to alter it a bit. The size should be 339 x 339 pixels, good luck!

Matt-Liell
Well I don't really have any in mind just search google.ca for violins and turntalbes and earphones and you'll get something.
coupes.
the size really should be like 12cm*12cm and have a minimum resolution of 150 dpi (300 dpi would be needed for professionnal results). You cannot use a 72 dpi resolution for an image you want to print, the quality will be sucky.

But I had tried another cover and printed it with that resolution and it worked out ok, well try both then! As long as you try it don't matter but CoupeS probably knows more than me about this. Hey man, I'm an artist myself and I know its important to give credit where credit is due, of course you'll get your name on it no questions asked! TheJackal
hum. you might want to post more information. like is this for professional use? I know you said its not for profit or commercial use. but is it to show off when people ask about your CD or something. or just for personnal use. It sounds like all you want to do is a cover to slip in the front. nothing for the back. the side pannel. people might be more interested to do a cover if you said what the prize is (if there is one) you cant forget what CoupeS said about the resolutions (dot per inches & line per inches). Also there are legal reasons. I know you wont really use your CD else where but theres nothing more annoying then someone taking your pictures. Thats why i dont post big resolution pictures on my portfolio. Make it harder for people to rip me off. I'm not gonna participate for two reasons. #1 - I'm in my 2nd year of graphic design and I got like 3 contracts and of course projects. #2 - I'm not gonna use pictures I've taken over the years because chances are I will use them in future projects which my impliment copyright problems. but will be more than happy to lend my opinion for this project if it is desired. If you don't wan't your pictures stolen, why don't you use a watermark? you could still see the quality of you work but it would be pretty hadr to do something with the pics.
