Well, I do have that PIC micro controller thing from RS. For now I'm just looking for casing of a VARIAC I have so I can finally start using it, and also for another little thing a 24VAC transformer to run in reverse for a simple 12VDC-120VAC converter found on discovercircuits.

I guess I'll return to that ROTS novel by Matthew R Stover. Also I know that instructables has published their first book (however you can still go to their website and get their info stuffs for FREE). One of the more interesting projects are making a PC out of the shell of an NES. Which you can buy at nesrepairshop.com and get whatever else parts wise for retro game systems. But this project is basically an NES on the outside (plus some remodeling), but so much more on the inside.
