your welcome. how have you been, I haven't heard from you in quite a while?

  3. I guess you could say that the military is stocked up for a lot of "what-ifs". We do have the largest military, and I do think that it should stay that way even though it is expensive. In a sense, I would agree. I really do understand what you are getting at, but one side of me says we will need it. Ya, they are tremendously expensive, and probably more money that I will ever see in my lifetime, but I think that we will need them. Something tells me that inside. But yes, they are less required in the war of economies, lol.

  4. Well, it is definately good to know that I am not alone!

At this airshow that I went to earlier last month there was also a F-15 demo. I would almost like to say that the F-15 and F-22 demos took the show from the Blue Angels! The Blue Angels put on a really good show, but I was amazed by what these fighters can do! The F-15 is one of my all-time favorite fighters.

The F-35 is less expensive as well, which means there is the potential that more could be made. I think that the F-35 had a lot of potential. I was watching the discovery channel one evening several years ago and my mouth was wide open. I believe that that aircraft will have a great future, and I can't wait until it comes into service.

I think that the B2 is becoming out-dated. Sorry, it is cool and all but there are other cheaper capable aircraft out there to do the job. I think that it is useless paying that much money for something that hardly ever gets used. The only awesome feature that it has is that it can fly 6,000+ miles without refueling. It is good that we have some (21) though. I prefer the B-1B Lancer over the B-2 anyday. ;)

With thrust vectoring technology applied to 4th generation fighters would give them capabilities much like the F-22. You don't always need stealth.

  5. Oh, I definately agree with you on that one, buddy. However, in need be, we would be way ahead of any adversary. If you own the sky, you can own the ground, in a sense.

I personally think that the F-16 is the work-horse of the US Air Force. It has so many capabilities it isn't even funny. Outstanding fighter/attack aircraft.

I really do wonder if if is possible to upgrade fighters like the F-15 and F-16? Something like thrust vectoring like the F-22 has. That would give those fighters the upperhand in a fight. Or instead of making a whole bunch of 5th generation fighters we could just make more 4th generation and still have the upperhand. Ya, that means more maintanence but....

Or someone could make a new fighter combining the characteristics of other fighters. For example the F-18's maintainablilty, reliablility. Thrust vectoring. Modern avionics. I guess that would be pricey though.

I love aviation, if you can't already tell. :D

  6. Oh, things are good with me. Just been getting ready do go back to school. I am ready for it, although I really do enjoy the summer. I like to learn though so...

Ya, I love modern day fighters. I love all of the favorite aircraft in the US military but my favorite group is the fighters. My absolute favorite fighter would probably have to be the F-22 'Raptor'. What it can do is literally unbelievable if you ask me. Ya, they are expensive and all, but they are amazing. Here is what I saw at a Blue Angels show back in August. They had a F-22 demo, and everybody was on their feet. Amazing. I like all of the fighters though. :D

I don't just like them, I love them. Military Aviation is always on my mind. :)

  7. In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags.

    ?

  8. Yes. I am too, now that I know.

  9. Ah. You caught me. I would like to say that I wanted for someone to point that out, but that would be a lie. :xp:

Thanks. I am normally okay with my grammer, spelling so....

  10. Wonderful.

I will be going to a pretty good school as well. I am really quite excited. :D

  11. That is exactly what I was thinking when I was typing it.

  12. ChAiNz you are all over the place. :xp:

  13. Yes. I think that it will be a blast. It isn't hard as of yet, my friend. :xp:

  14. How is school?

  15. I think that it is really important to write, and read during the summer or any time off of school really. I think that it kinda makes the re-entry process easier. But I guess that that is just me. I like to be one-step ahead of everyone. :/

  16. You are right. It isn't the grades, it is what got you those grades. In most cases, it is hard work, effort, ect. That is what it is.

I just find school to be a tad bit harder than the year before, but you get used to it quickly. I have found that the first week of school is always the hardest mainly because you just got off of summer break and haven't learned anything (not really for a lot of us on the forums because we learn something new like everyday, and we keep our mind fit during debates. That is probably one of the main reasons that I am on the forums so much, to keep my mind active and on it's toes.)

  17. Ya. It is really the only way to get a good job, go to college. Otherwise you normally won't have a very good job. I certainly don't want to work in a fast food joint for my entire life. I want to go far....

  18. Wow English education is really different than American education.

We go to school until we are about 18 years old (That is 12 grades) and then we have the choice to go to college (which in some cases would be a university, same meaning though) and that is all of the schooling that we get. You don't have to go to college. Only complete 12 grades and you get a high school diploma. I am going to college when I am old enough. :D

  19. Well, when I become a Junior (half-way through High School basically) you can get college credits. It also helps you get into better colleges.

College already? I have no idea what the education is like in the UK, but in the US the normal person graduated when they are 18 years old. 12 grades. Fill me in. ;)

  20. Pretty good actually. School starts in less than a month. :/

Just been hangin' out with my friends, and went to an airshow last Sunday. It was awesome! Other than that, I have homework that I have to do. :dozey: Sometimes I strongly dislike advanced classes, but it will hopefully be worth it one day.

    U?

  21. Well yes. I did. If I do get one it would probably be the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, I won't be getting one anytime real soon because I don't have the money for it right now with school starting back up and everything. But when I do, chance is that I will be getting the Xbox 360. :D

  22. I guess that I forgot to sign off, and I had to take down my computer because we got a nice new desk. I am back though. :)
