What astounds me is that, with all of these taxes, the government has managed to get itself into trillions of dollars into debt. It's rather sad that we're that bad with money.
Political suicide isn't a worthy goal according to the politicians, mach. The Democrats would have been done and over with, as you've stated, if it was 'proved' that FDR let Pearl Harbor happened. Did not Machiavelli state that one should use any means possible to attain/retain power?
Perhaps we rebuilt Japan and Germany for 'colonies?' Not living at the time, I can only speculate, but I would assume that the US Government believed that they would benefits out of their actions- that's the only reason they do anything, really.
Now, I really need to push out this chapter for my story. If I don't, I'll go semi-insane.

Soothsayers speak sooth, sire,
and humbly tell of a cruel
and lonely mistress.
"For the greater good of the people!"
they cry, blind, deaf, and dumb,
oblivious to the pain around them.
Upon the morrow, sire, upon the morrow
shall our day arise,
where not one is shackled
to the decrepit
and feeble
Institution of School.

I'm taking Chinese in school, and I went to a camp that taught it over the summer, so I've got a basic understanding of the language (I can say a few simple phrases and cobble together a few words).
America = 美国
China's history is incredibly long: it's one of the longest lasting civilizations on the planet. It'd take quite a while to learn all of it. As for Japan, I think that China's more interesting. Indeed, Wiki to the rescue! What would we do without Wikipedia?

Save me, Sabre, for Disney has destroyed my mental faculties, any shred of hope I had for independent thought, though, has given me a chance to test out basic Chinese sentences (lots of people from all over the world here; Japanese is surprisingly common). For some reason, everyone keeps asking me how old I am (must consult Bee!).
SAVE MAH.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred.
Sire, we must band together and force my lazy ass to log onto Skype. For great justice!

Only for two more nights of misery fun (this night included, as I shall be heading off to sreep momentarily). We're heading to Magic Kingdom tomorrow, after having visited Epcot (it's an acronym, actually, for some kind of Disney-Utopia) and the Animal Kingdom.
I must regain my honor, Good Sir, but it is not that night. For now, I sreep, and plot against the Evil Forces of Satan Sabre, so that my knights shall slaughter your pawns!

Greetings, Darathy.
Currently preparing for the most unexcellent SAT while annotating for English on the side. On the plus side, when I'm done, I'll know how to read literature like a professor. (...I did not actually think there would be a Wiki page for it)
What happens 'cross the pond, praytell?

Hey Jon! I'm doing okay- tons of school work has essentially taken over and occupied the majority of my time, hence my absence from the Glorious Posse.
But what of yourself? What have you been up to these past months- anything you would classify as overly positive or negative, or just standard months of life?

We were that desperately in need of allies? I was under the impression that the US was in a decent position, allies-wise, after World War II (mainly due to the fact that the US was the only one with the A-bomb).

One day.
One day, and the trumpets and choir of the Sovetsky anthem shall ring throughout Skype.
One day, and the freedom of Winter Break shall arrive.
One day, and Gods of School will grant a reprieve.
One day.
One day.

I do remember that Russia had their first bomb successfully tested in 1948. It seemed that the Cold War would be determined by alliances and political stability (it seems that America's transitions for President were much more peaceful than ones in Russia).

...which, quite possibly, would have started World War III. 'Protection' never seems to be a good thing.

Good sir, I shall view this video posthaste and reply to you with the same speed, all in a prompt manner.

Indeed, indeed. Alas, I fear that the novelty has worn off, and any fun that might have been has been sucked out by some.
