Altus_Thrawn
This is a shocker to me, but I think it is what I want to do. I am giving up crafting. Yeah, you heard me right. My issue is that though I love crafting, I hate grinding, and it will take me until space expansion to get master droid engineer if I dont grind. So crafting goes bye bye. Sorta What I will do is work on scout and 2handed skills. I will work my way up to master ranger/master swordsman. I will take some of my hard earned cash and by some flora to make food. Eventually I'll hit chef, and see how I like it. If I do like it I will probably go back into crafting...master swordsman/master chef. If not I'll stick with non-crafting stuff. Anyways, I'm doing this because the hassle of playing two characters that I "love" and trying to keep up harvesters on one of them is to much. So yeah
Deft Aklin
Good for you Altus. I hate crafting myself. So frustrating. I guess thats the price you pay for being a Doctor. In any event, I was contemplating trying TKA last night, and ground through to Expert Unarmed in about an hour and a half. Then I discovered something.....I hate brawling. *grips blaster lovingly* Pistoleers may suck in PvP, but I'd rather be bad at PvP then good at it using something I hate. BTW, I was soloing Shaupets at Novice Brawler without using any of my pistol skills. I love being a Doctor. Maybe you can hunt with my group sometime Altus, should garner you some nice XP. Jackrabbit
Hmm, Chef huh? Well, good luck if you want to try it, but from what I hear, Chef is the worst class to be if you hate grinding. You should go up the Spice line of Smuggler =). I'll buy you the resources, and you could become a Fence in 2 days.
Xx_Patman_xX
Tokalar.... dont say the C word if you dont like Grinidng. Its horrible... Ive spent entire days of gaming (10 hours a day) doing nothing but grinidng. And usually it only gets me one more skill. Tokalar, I recommend staying away. Maybe you could be a tailor though? Defocy seemes to kinda be away or somethin...
Altus_Thrawn
Ok maybe not chef then. the bad thing about tailor is that I cant wear what I make. What proffessions are there that are not "strictly combat" proffesssions? (like pistoleer, rifleman, fencer, etc are "strictly combat") I got: Artistan Medic Entertainer Scout Droid engineer, Armorsmith, Architect, weaponsmith Tailor, Chef Doctor, combat medic Dancer, image designer, musician Ranger Bounty hunter Squad leader Commando (might consider this one) What have I missed? (these are the kind of things I am considering)
Goose_Of_Mercy
I think you forgot Smuggler, which I totally suggest. It has a great combo of non-combat crafting (Spice and Slice) and some cool stuff like lower fp cost stuff and feign death and stuff. Also if you are getting rid of your harvestors I'll give you my swords for em =]. ~SK~
Jackrabbit
Yeah, I wasn't joking when I mentioned Smuggler. Spices is hands down the easiest crafting line, and slicing, although it isn't easy, is basically a crafting tree also. The only problem is you have to master unarmed and pistol to get it. Tailor is pretty cool, I just never liked collecting tons of fiberplast.
Jatari Bazrak
heh I HATE crafting:mad: ! but I think this is cool I only like scout even though it's not totaly crafting. I geuss I just hate the surveying and grinding although I don't have to do that. (thank god) So I think Smuggler would be cool! but then again you don't really like being for a Faction...or so you've told. But glad to see your devotion heh. My advice is Find what suits you and just have fun with what you are doing.
Altus_Thrawn
Ranger it is. As for a harvesters/sword trade, I'll see what I've got.

Taos
Originally posted by Altus_Thrawn Ranger it is. Ranger is a cool profession. Just ask Baboo [flaknugget if I remember lol] he's a master ranger/master ch and he loves it. I think you've made a good choice.
