September 26th, 2003 - The Maverick Records soundtrack to The Matrix Revolutions will be released on November 4, 2003, one day before the movie opens, and will have over an hour of music on it, including the song "In My Head" by Pale 3, which plays in the Merovingian's Hell Club (3:46), two cues that feature Don Davis' collaboration with Juno Reactor, a 9 minute end credit re-mix of Don Davis' "Super Burly Brawl" music by Juno Reactor, and 45 minutes of orchestral underscore by Don Davis. Apparently no rock bands were inspired by this movie.

The Matrix Revolutions Scoring in August

July 27th, 2003 - Don will be recording his 110-minute long score to the final chapter of the Matrix trilogy next month, with the scoring of The Matrix Revolutions. To be recorded at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox, the score will be performed by a 99-piece orchestra, and 80-person choir. The film will be score-based, with only one source song in the feature, and Don is recollaborating with Juno Reactor for one cue in the film.

personally I am looking forward to this the last musical installment in my collection of Matrix Music, although I must say I wish Rob D was contributing. Rob D's "Clubbed To Death" and "Furious Angels" were both amazing. I will also miss (and so will they a Hat trick) of Rage Against The Machine doing the movie end song. anyhow I am still looking forward to collecting this.

*and leXX what is the S&S book the W brothers base a lot of the philosophy on in the movie. there were two books, one is called Evolutionary Psychology, the other S&S something, I think after seeing the trailer I really should try reading these books.*

It goes without saying that I love the first soundtrack, but unfortunately the Reloaded soundtrack for me falls very short of the mark. The 2nd CD has a few good songs on it but that's about it. I certainly hope the Revolutions soundtrack is a hell of a lot better.

well I am afraid this one will be like Reloaded so you most likely won't care for it. the one song by Pale 3 will be in that french guys club so ti will most likely be cool. but the rest is going to grand dramic music. and if chateau, and furious angels, and burly brawl weren't for you, or mona lisa overdrive or the Zion rave music dance bit, you won't like this one. my guess at the moment.

the Animatrix has a great OST, except for tracks 11&12 which Don Davis butchered. you are a classic composer not a spin doctor DJ don, stick to what your good at.

anyhow I liked Reloaded in a different way from the matrix. really it is 2 albums the OST and OSC, and many own the Matrix OST but not the OSC. and revolutions even though they are calling it an OST is really an OSC.

and because the album is out one day before the film, wait see the film then buy the album that way you dont feel cheated.

Like I said, the 2nd CD is ok and most of the songs you mentioned there are on the 2nd CD, and actually, I love Fluke - Zion. Dread Rock and Session are good too, and you should know by now that I'm a huge Rob Dougan fan. ;)

I suppose I was dissapointed because I love every single song in the first film, and I can't say the same for the 2nd.

I'll probably buy the Revolutions Soundtrack even if I don't like it, as I have a collection of Matrix stuff and it won't be complete without it.
