lukeiamyourdad
I was just wondering if there was still some good old Transformers fan, the best kids show to ever air on tv! I'm talking about the old 80's serie, not the new piece of crap!
Jared
eh...I'm not a fan...I was kinda...a long time ago..
Darth Groovy
I was a HUGE Transformers fan, I mean REALLY HUGE. The recent re-releases of some of the classic toys have renewed my interest quite a bit.

another_trooper
Maybe if I had seen the series I would be a fan I only saw the more or less recent beast wars series I stopped watching after a couple of seasons though as the story degraded and went nowhere. But I was a huge fan of that series though
Darth Homer
*Kills Chase* I grew up watching the original Transformers series...not this new one that's Gotta catch all the pokemon...err....minicons or whatever... I have the first 2 seasons & part 1 of season 3 on dvd (boxed sets even). I also have a Decepticon logo T-shirt, Megatron poster, & the Transmormers Movie on vhs (will get it on DVD eventually). My favorite character is Grimlock. "Me Grimlock! Me leader!!"
Sherack Nhar
*beats Rhett and Chase's corpse repeatedly with a stick* Transformers literally shaped my childhood XD I must have watched the movie a hundred times at least. It's so awesome! I just love them. Beast Wars and the new Armada crap is bad though. Armada sounds like pokémon o_o
lukeiamyourdad
Yes it is. It was made for the Japanese public if I'm correct. Beast Wars was cool at first because it was funny but when they started meddling with the Old serie's story it just got really really bad... It's kind of weird actually, the Japanese got a different Transformers serie then the North Americans, perhaps it is why the new Armada is such crap and looks nothing like the good old stuff. Beast Wars was made in Canada, home of a lot of lousy tv series*shrugs* Homer- No one beats Ultra Magnus:xp:
TieDefender75
I loved the old Transformers. In fact, right before i came here i was looking for pictures of the old Starscream on Yahoo. My favorites were Starscream and Shockwave. Also, i have the movie;)

TieDefender75
I hate Ultra Magnus because in the movie he kept getting killed. He is facing Galvatron down trying to open the Matrix and he just gets shot up. Then, the Junkions put him back together and he does nothing afterwards. Its all about Hotrod (who i hate because its because of him that Optimus died)
Sherack Nhar
I just wanted to point out that the original Transformers series was, in fact, a japanese show. Meaning, made by japanese. The different incarnations of transformers were always following a trend. When it was first created, Transformers was riding on the mech trend created by Robotech... then Beast Wars was made after they saw the success of Reboot, back when 3D animation was the shiznit. And finally they made Armada to follow Pokémon's footsteps...
Darth Homer
hmm, never really thought about it like that, Sherack...good point. However, I do believe that this was the first series to show giant bots that were not controlled by humans or other such beings (they were autonomous). And to those who I'm sure can this of an earlier series, let me say this: *sticks fingers in ears* LALALALALALALALALALA!!!!!!

WolfmanNCSU
Yeah, I loved the orginal Transformers back in the day when I was a kid. I really hated the Go-Bots. Man, they sucked. Cheap rip off.

It was a rip-off but i still enjoy watching that one episode i have.
lukeiamyourdad
Yeah I also heard they might make a new transformer movie in CGI. Man I hope they don't mess up the story if they do one. And Ultra Magnus IS cool! I can't believe I cried when Optimus died in the movie:crybaby:
TieDefender75
I hated it when Optimus died too. The strange thing about it was how he turned black in a matter of seconds. I mean, ok, maybe he rusted, but THAT FAST!? Anyone know what really went on there?
Sherack Nhar
I guess it was just a way to show that he really was dead and he wasn't coming back. It was a powerful scene, especially for a children's movie, I loved it! And mark your god damn spoilers, even though nobody cares about this movie anymore!!
