JediLurker Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 No. I would use it, but it makes the saber fights way too short. I go with the other form of dismemberment instead, editing the probabilities in npc files.
Kurgan Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I use level 2 of sabermorerealistic meaning idle saber does no damage. Sure it makes it a bit shorter, but I can live with that.
The Seeker Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I tried, but it always says that it's write protected. How do I turn it on anyway. Duel lengths mean nothing to me. Half the time I just grip an enemy and throw them off a ledge. I may stick around to duel a bit if it was realistic dismemberment.
Remirol Nacnud Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I did in JO, but in JA the level of dismemberment is just about right. Full realistic mode is pretty funny though. Just walk up to a storm trooper and watch his bits fall off. It's the force ability of 'infect with leprosy'.
Darf Seddeas Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I am really plzed becuz i really really like to B gud fites like teh moveys becuz b4 it was no body parts but now i wunns c evil siffs dead and i em warrior like obi wanker nobi
Sam Fisher Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Originally posted by DaRf Seddeas 2 obi wanker nobi Anyways, yes, I do use saberrealisticcombat, its makes it more challenging.

There seems to be differences in how to turn it on in different countries or something (maybe different versions of the game). Anyway, this way works for me: Make a shortcut for the file jasp.exe located in your Gamedata folder. Right-click on the shortcut and in Target, after the filename, you type some stuff. This is mine: "C:\Spill\Star Wars JK Jedi Academy\GameData\jasp.exe" +devmapall +load quick +set g_saberrealisticcombat 2 +set dismemberment 100 +set g_sabermorerealistic 2 I'm not sure wether set dismemberment 100 and set g_sabermorerealistic 2 does anything, but I keep them there anyway.
Troopr-Undr-Fir Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Sure it makes it a bit shorter, but I can live with that. Enphasis on Live but yes i do have the same problem that he has stated, it says "right protected", but it still dismembers alittle bit, not to where the stormies limbs just fall off because my glowing shaft of death touches them . oh well . i wonder if you could set dismemberment to where it makes them fall apart when u shoot them with the conc or the rocket launcher
Kurgan Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 You'll probably need to make a "gibs mod" for that. ; )
ExcelsioN Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 I wouldn't even think about not using it. Saberrealisticcombat 2-2 works fine for me.
