lauser Posted January 30, 2004 Share Posted January 30, 2004 Sorry I'm confused. Whats this for? I have a shortcut for all my MAIN folders for JA on my desktop. Very easy to reference ANY file. It may be easy to reference the NAME and type it inYES I agree. But unless you ACTUALLY know what it is you want then I find just using my shortcut method almost as fast....if not the same. Do mappers not use shortcuts? I mean its so darn easy its stupid. Copy the files from assets1 and put into your base folder. Make a shortcut and place on your desktop. EASY Sorry I have to add that I don't add ALL of the assets files. That would be crazy and take up WAY too much space. Kengo Posted January 31, 2004 Share Posted January 31, 2004 In addition to the list, Eskimo took a screenshot of each of the models ingame so you know what they all look like, helping you look around for models you might want to use. It saves a lot of time which would otherwise be spent putting all the models into a level and seeing what they look like etc - this file with all the thumbnails in can be found at Map-Review as he said earlier. MDN14 Posted January 24, 2006 Share Posted January 24, 2006 is a map model, but it is made out of brushes in the GTK Radiant editor. Basically you make something in Radiant, put a "caulk shell" around the whole thing and compile it, then you compile it again in a different way and you turn it into a model. The model will be nonsolid in game just like a normal md3 map model, and the parts you had as caulked when building the model will be invisible both in the editor and in game.
