Joetheeskimo
I'm a Republican, and I'm a Christian, and I don't care what the hell Count says about it.
Zoom Rabbit
Originally posted by obi-wan13 This isn't america, Zoom Rabbit. This is LucasForums. =) Anyway, don't provoke people. Well, if you read the Reclaimer original I quoted, you'll see that he clearly states that in America, the sort of statements he's talking about are illegal. That is very much not the case; American citizens are guaranteed the right to free speech in their constitution. I'm not trying to *provoke* anyone here. I do feel that it's important to clarify that point about our rights here in the US, because it is one that we cherish most highly...democrat, republican, christian and non-christian alike. Speech over. Please continue to discuss your opinions freely.

TheJackal
Originally posted by Acrylic I'm more of a Democrat. Like, my Republican views are, that Abortion is Right... huh, i thought the Republicans were against abortions. ---- anyways. let me explain something, I am Canadian but i know american politics probebly better than a few Americans on this forum, why? Because America floods our TV airwaves with their stuff like we flood thier softwood market with our stuff. Anyways, in Canada we have 5 political parties in the federal scene. The Liberals, the Canadian Alliance, the Conservative Partie, the National Democratic Party and the Bloc Québecois. The Liberals are center-left party. I guess you could say they are more left wing than the Democrates. But unlike the democrates they know how to handle money. They are the current leading party and have been for a decade now and every time they balanced the books and have a surplus. The Canadian Alliance is the official opposition party. They are the equivilant of the Republicans. I hate them. They want to tear down our Public Health System, convert every publicly owned systems like power, water, etc into privatly own business even thought we've seen the catrastophic consequences of that. Conservative Party, they are allmost dead. They are center-right but they have a tendency to put the province/country into huge dept without telling the population (just look at the province of Ontario, where I live). New Democratic Party The left wing party. They believe in grass-roots politics, populor with young voters for thier social views. They are also dying down under the super political powers that are the Liberals and Canadian Alliance. Parti Québecois. Center-right party only represented in the province of Québec. For seperation of the province of the country. Have been dying down for stronger support of Liberal in the province. Used to be the official opposition years ago even thought they are only represent themselves in only 1 out of 10 provinces. anyways. i have my doubts people will read this. but if they do, you've just learned something usefull. I'm extremly happy Canadian society is liberal. I'm proud on our views on health care, human rights and equality (that includes gay mariage) and so on. I love Canadian politics
ET Warrior
I'm a politically uncarring as they come. I'm registered independant, but I dont take advantage of my voter-abilities. If I were forced to choose between the two I'd go Democrat, because i'm not very conservative (I am after all going to CU, one of the most liberal colleges around) I like the liberal view because I think that change is good, especially in our country. I dont know what party that identifies with though. The actual labels of democrat and repuclican have changed "sides" so many times in american history I dont know whats what these days. I could care less what party a canidate for any govermnemt office is as long as that person does things that I like. I absolutely hate conservatives though...why do you not want to progress as a society? History is about progress...duh, why would you want to supress that. I dont care how "romantic" some idea is...if it isnt doing any damn good to the public you shouldnt enforce it on them.
