Sam Fisher Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Does anyone else want to get this game? I really an looking forward to this game, there is MP co-op gametype, as well as Mercernary. Here's a site: Site So far, there isn't very muc I know It has outdoor maps, too, very cool.
ZBomber Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I have a feeling this is gonna be a mistake..... I never liked the original, but usually sequels aren't as good.
Acrylic Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I have high expectations for this game, and it WILL be a great game..I hope.
DarkLord60 Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I still havent got my arse around to getting the first one.
ET Warrior Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I never BEAT the first one......I suck at it I am on the last level, the part where you go down the elevator and then there are 74 million guys wearing body armor and helmets shooting at you. And I died like, 52 times trying to beat that part, and I got mad and gave up. That was like, 8 months ago.
Ratmjedi Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I've known about this game since June and I am really looking forward to it. I loved the first one and it was just such an awesome game. I dont think they could even mess up with this one cause its just one of those games that didn't dissapoint me and was just good. I really don't care much for the MP aspect of it but just cause I get to be Sam Fisher again is enough to make me want to get this game.

Well I don't SUCK at it, but the last level (with the elevator) is really really hard I managed t o get to the part where you capture Nicoladze, but after that I get killed every time Looking forward to part 2 though, Splinter Cell is in my top 3 of best singleplayer games ever
ExcelsioN Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I've seen this, and it looks great. But I've got my doubts about it because I didn't like the first one too much. I only ever got up to the power plant level (on PS2). It just didn't have the fun or originality that was MGS2. But SC2 looks like it might be better than MGS. I hope.
Darth Rythe Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I haven't played #1 so I wont be wetting my pants for it.
BLG Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I had the first game(and beat it ), but I used cheats on the last level with all the heavy-military guys. Cant wait until the game comes to norway.

The key to getting past areas is to learn the guards paths, then actually follow them arun wherever you need to go. It sound stupid, but trust me, it works. Where are you exactly oin that level? BTW, the ending movie is really good, and it leats you know that there was/had to be a second one:) Originally posted by ZBomber I have a feeling this is gonna be a mistake..... I didn't know of anything wrong, except that they didn't let you mod it;) And maybe SC just isn't you type of game..
Crow_Nest Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I aint a Tom Clancy fan, not a Splinter Cell fan too. Played the first game, didnt like it.
Sam Fisher Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 Great, I just found out that my dad will not let me get it because you can be in 1st person! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Crow_Nest Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Originally posted by Sam Fisher Great, I just found out that my dad will not let me get it because you can be in 1st person! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! What so bad about playing a game in 1st person?
Sam Fisher Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 My dad thinks that it is somehow 'damaging to my mental health' to play in 1st person...
ExcelsioN Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Originally posted by Sam Fisher Great, I just found out that my dad will not let me get it because you can be in 1st person! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Whoa...you're parents must be so restrictive. My parents gave up restricting me on games years ago. Whats so wrong about it being in first person? Is it beacuse it looks like you're shooting the people yourself?
Sam Fisher Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 Yes, that is the reason, but in Pandora, being in 1st persone is optional! But as soon as he saw that there was a first person aspect to it, bam, no can get! Maybe I'll convince hime in the next 3 months... it really sucks that it comes out 2 days before my birthday!
Mex Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I'm going to look forward to this game, it looks pretty good!

But you could to aim/shoot in 1st person in the original Splinter Cell. So why is this one any different?
Sam Fisher Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 Oh no you didn't, when you shot, it was off the right sholder, not 1st person. Yoiu should go check again
Agen Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 *Watches Kill Bill - The directors cut with extra special gory deleted scenes* it really sucks that it comes out 2 days before my birthday! I smell something.
Crow_Nest Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Originally posted by Sam Fisher Erm, what do you smell? I think he smells your birthday cake and ice-cream. mmmmmm...
Swat Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Ya Sam is right Excelsion. Check out the new trailer. Near the end, there's a player shooting in 1st person. Seems to be the enemy of the splinter cells in multiplayer
