GameSpy: What about special characters that you can unlock, like Darth Vader? Will you play them, or will you just have them as A.I. controlled allies? Will you be able to use them in every map?

Borrud: I don't want to go into this too much yet, but we do have several of the main characters from the movies appearing in the game. I can tell you that they will be A.I. controlled and you will be able to fight alongside them (or against them).

looking good! :)

here will not be a traditional Jedi class as they really don't have many weaknesses. We wanted to focus the game about being in the trenches, the grunts, the soldiers. Not on being the über-powerful characters from the films.

looking really good! :D

I cant wait! need it now!!

PC I can play free anytime i want though i might not do SP for along time.

Xbox I pay to play but I know ill do SP for sure and Mp might not last long.

Buy it for PC. Judging by the huge success of BF1942, MP will be a lot more fun. I also reckon that more people will buy, and play online, the PC version. But its your descision. ;)

Would it have enoguh buttons though? I think a game like this would play better on a mouse and keyboard then on a controller. ;)

Eh...

Not only would it be hard to use every possible commands on a simple gamepad, the MP side of the game would ruined on a console.

MP on a console is a nightmare. My friend is sunscribed to X Box live and all you hear in your headphones are people swearing...at leats on PC you can kick them out :evil3:

The PC version will be the best, easily. Imagine trying to use voice chat on a PS2 controller but trying to fire at the same time. Also, there's going to be tons more people playing SWBF online on the PC because so many more people have a net connection for their PC.

One last thing, I hope this game answers the question of how people get in an AT-AT.

I have never heard any 1337 speak (i know it's a written language du'h, but I mean the phrase construction (sp?) and vocabularly wich exists about of 92% of 'noob' and 'f*** you') trough my ears thank god, and I would like to keep it that way :p

Years ago when a friend of my (who now has all the consoles and a good pc..) I always convinced him PC was a million times better, even w/o MP..and now the consoles think they got it as well it sucks major time..they even intended to deliver keyboards for the consoles for 'proper gameplay'..by transforming your console into a pc :\

Keyboard rules, ok your hand feels more comfortable with a ngc controller, and I tried joypads but I immediately gave it back to my friend from who i borrowed it, it's just not..well I use the keyboard too much..

I thought that At-Ats were built in the factory with a bridge to the cab so they could be driven out of the assembly line. They loaded people on and off on Endor by going to the se huge tree bases.

I believe the legs completely collapse - so the main body is on the ground. Then people can get in through a side or rear door. Once everyone's in the legs go into the upright position.

I seem to remember seeing AT-ATs being dropped off on a planet in a game cutscene, or something. I can't remember where though.

That would be cool if they actually did that in-game. It would take quite a bit of animanting though.
