The movie was great and in addition to that, does not need a sequel.

Of course The Two Towers is better than Fellowship. Fellowship is all about building up to the events in TTT and ROTK. Without TTT and ROTK, Fellowship would be cheese.

You can't say that if there was a second POtC that it would ruin the first one. I hate when people say that, the first will always be good even if the second stinks! I for one am looking forward to it, but am afraind that it won't keep up with the high standards it raised from the first one.

yes the stereotypical view is that sequels destroy the originals...but look at it from the producers standpoint: lots of money to be made because they are entertaining. I think that if the made a second PotC movie with Johnny Depp again in the lead role it could have potential. :D

and btw - Blade 3 will be released in movie theaters hopefully in the next few years :D

You really think so?! Hehe.

Think your right.

Making a PotC 2 would destroy the first one, and we all know that. Besides what would the plot be? Commander Norrington chasing Will and his love, while Sparrow is plundering his guts out aboard the Black Pearl? Dont think it would work....at all.

The (we have to call it the 'first' movie now *sigh* ) movie ended great, on a good note that did not leave you hanging in any serious 'must have sequal' kind of way.

I just think the idea is being stretched too thin...

Its great the way it is, why cant they just leave it alone? *sobs*

I hope not. Just one is great...there is no need for a sequel that risks destroying the first movie. I am starting to become disappointed that movie makers feel the need to make sequels to already great stand-alone movies.
