Thrawn42689
Poly-by-poly Utahraptor WIP. If I could find a gracious good samaritan to animateandvehicleify it, that would be byootiful. What's everyone think? dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot dot I know the polycount's higher than most models, but hey. Rules were made to be broken. And I'm just showering this model with lurrrve.

tFighterPilot
Speaking of polys, how many of them does your model have? It looks fine, but I can't know by looking at a screenshot.
Thrawn42689
Right now it's a little over 1000. I spent a lot of them on the face I know it's high for a potential vehicle, but I consider him a character. Also, I'm gearing up for next-gen games. tFighterPilot
I'd never use the Poly-by-poly methood. Cuz although brings great results, it's much harder than how I do things. Start with a blob and adds details along the way.
Thrawn42689
Yeah, it is a bit tedious, but I can't figure out how to get it the way I want it otherwise.

It takes a certain skill to work with mesh smooth. After a while of working with it, you learn how it works. You learn when to create an edge, when to collapse vertex and stuff like that.
