Thrawn42689 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 You know, I was just thinking--you should add his sheath too. That would be a nice touch.
Lil Killa Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 wouldn't it look funny though if he was holding his sword (which I'll be making soon) and then have the same sword on his side?
Lathain Valtiel Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I don't think his little hair point is as accurate as could be.. Heh. Are you gonna keep that thick beam seam between his beltlike wrapping and upper torso? Looks... odd.
Lil Killa Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 you mean the black outline that's going around the whole model?

Why don't you make one version that has the sword in the sheath and another version with just the sheath?

Because I didn't want the person who has to import this thing do alot of work reweighting and boning two models....
Lathain Valtiel Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 No, I mean the thick black line seperating the top of the beltlike wrapping from the rest of his torso.

Oh, you don't have to worry about that. As long as you make the sword and the sheath two seperate meshes, they'll be able to turn them on and off. No extra work whatsoever. Now get to work on that sword and sheath!

Which is a part of the outline covering the whole model. @Ninja - Do I select the mesh and then do that? @Thrawn - I'll make something and ulpoad a shot whenever I get some time to make something.
Thrawn42689 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I'll look forward to it. Also, this is post 200 for me on here. Not very impressive of course, but the combination of intrusive ads, occasional stupidity, and slow forums isn't a very inviting one. Who likes my icon? >.>
Lil Killa Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 I went about doing the reset xform thing and it's ****ed my skin up.... What is Reset XForm supposed to do and how am I supposed to do it? I know where the button is and how to click it but it inverts the normals on my model and then when I try to compensate by fliping them back the skin appears all jumbled up.
LightNinja Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 xfrom ****s up lol, all you have to do is do the mesh again a Edit Mesh and then choose faces, select the faces and do a Flip
Lil Killa Posted September 10, 2004 Author Posted September 10, 2004 I should be collapsing the modifyer stack before I reset xform should I?.... I tryed doing that and it seemed to work.
IG-64 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 hmm, while the outlines great and all, samurai jack cartoon doesnt have outlines. The rest looks great. Oh, and you should collapse the stack after you reset xform
