Admiral Odin
((WJ: Your welcome and that won't be a problem)) *The med droids set Hal down in his small cabin on the Asgardried. One droid turn to Allessa* Med Droid: You are restricted to this deck, the deck above and below are off limits, as well as the bridge. Do not try and gain access these areas. You may stay in this cabin, however since it is small you have your own cabin across the hall. *The two droids turn and leave the cabin* ((Just so I don't have to keep repeating things assume Drago and the guards have been given the same information about restrictions.)) ---------------------------------------------------- *Orthos is also placed in his room and once he is situated in his bed the droids leave to get another survivor. Vidar was the next one to be take from the recovery tent, Valda walked next to his gurney as the droids bring him into the Asgardreid. Bandages were wrapped around his wounds were red with his blood, although the bleeding had subsided. Vidar is taken to one of the starboard staterooms and set carefully onto his bed. Valda attaches some monitoring devices and then sits in a chair next to Vidar.* ------------------------------------------------------ *Heimdall stands staring into the flames, waiting until the wounded were fully loaded. A battle droid came up to Heimdall and handed him a datapad* Heimdall: Thankyou. Redwing
Marin: Thanks. *She pauses* Actually...I was never sold, so I wasn't a slave. Aidan was. He was kidnapped when he was young, and...he fought in arenas. He didn't have it as bad as most slaves. He was popular, so he was allowed to have an attitude...until he escaped. The Shadows were given a contract on him about the same time as they were given a contract on me. *She stares off at the wall of the tent* Marin: One month without contact, two months if the contractor pays extra. That's how long Shadows will actively dedicate resources to contracted marks they can't find. That's how long Aidan and I were going to hide away. It was my decision to stay...I'm not sure if Aidan...well...especially after today...that was horrible...terrible to watch. And I didn't even fight. *She sighs and looks back Idun, then down at the floor. She felt like crying, but felt much too embarrassed to let herself do it in front of a tent of people who had to be in immense amounts of pain, and weren't making a noise.*

Writer
Tanara sighed and looked away. "Yes, we spoke. She was trying to convince me to join the Sith." In a soft voice, more to herself than to Matt, she said, "My sister is what keeps me where I am."
Admiral Odin
*Idun looks at Marin with sympathy, and understanding. She gingerly stands and places a hand on Marin's shoulder* Idun: Come on, how about we go for a walk. *Idun leads Marin out of the tent with keeping her hand on Marin's shoulder. Idun doesn't say a word until they were outside* Idun: Had you fought, you would have been either killed or severly wounded. There is nothing wrong with your decision not to fight, it was the right one for you to make.

Redwing
Marin: I know. Actually, I would've been trapped in morph, then severely wounded or killed. Telling myself that doesn't help. But...Aidan's the one I'm worried about. ---------- *Guy sits motionless in his transport, head bowed, the same position he'd been in for the last minutes/hours (?) since the fight had ended. Admiral Odin
Idun: Why are you worried about Aidan?
Writer
Tanara nodded. "Separated. More like torn apart." She sighed. "In our younger years, we were inseperable, though I was in training as a Jedi and she was not. During and after the Holocaust... it was different... she watched them..." here, she broke into tears. "She watched our parents die," she said, regaining some control over her voice. "I was with my master... watched her die. Elaina and I... never managed to contact each other after that..." Her voice faded into silence and she brushed at her tears with her temporary robotic hand, forgetting for a second that it was there. She winced slightly at the cold touch of the metal and dropped it softly into her lap. She looked again at Matt. "Until I see her again, I will have no peace," she finished. "I will know that she is not safe." She sighed. "That is what pains me the most."
Redwing
Outside Marin: *hesitantly* I don't know...it's just a feeling. I wish he hadn't fought...no, I wish he hadn't come here. I don't think he could've just watched. *She looks at Idun* Marin: I still don't understand. Why did you Aesir have to fight this battle? ---------- Elsewhere *Guy stands in a white void. He can see, and is dressed in his normal clothing, but has nothing else on his person. His transport was certainly nowhere to be found* How did I get here? *A girl's voice comes from behind him* Girl: Who're you? *Guy turns to see a short, olive-skinned girl with spiked black hair. She was dressed as a typical commoner from the planet Earth 'proper'. Guy hadn't traveled much on the main planet itself, so he couldn't be sure. She was speaking in English, without the benefit of a translator, so she was probably American, or perhaps European* Girl: Well? Who are you? I'm not scared of you, whoever you are. You can't be worse than the people who caged me up back down there. Guy: My name is...er, call me Guy. Girl: Okay, "Guy". How'd you get here? Did you put this place here? Guy: No... *He looks around, seeing nothing but white* Where is 'here'? Girl: Heck if I know! I'm asleep, I know. This only happens when I'm asleep. I guess you are too? Guy: I...this has never happened to me before. Girl: *slowly turning in a circle* Usually I get plopped into another place. A forest, or a river. Different places. Not like this. Never just 'white'. *She looks at Guy* Girl: Maybe the universe is broken. Maybe this is like the 'loading program' from The Matrix. We're astrally-projecting or whatever you call it, and the universe can't figure out where to put us. Guy: The Matrix? The Time Matrix? Girl: Uh...no? The Matrix, like the movie? Please tell me you've seen it. Guy: Oh Er. No. They, er, don't show many movies...where I live. Girl: Oh... Oh well. *She's silent for a moment* Oh, by the way, my name's Chere. *She pronounces it Chay-ray, instead of the conventional method* It's nice to meet you, I guess. Guy: It's...nice to meet you too. Do you...do you happen to know how to exit this place? Chere: *Raising one eyebrow* I've always done it by waking up. Just wait a bit. Guy: I didn't fall asleep to get here. Chere: Well...I dunno what to tell you then. I'm no expert. It just sort of happens to me. Guy: I hate to say that that doesn't sound encouraging. You're sure nothing like this has happened before? Chere: I'm sure...
jokemaster
Matt: Listen, you don't need to be worried about her. If she's anything like you she'll survive. I don't see that you're as bothered anymore. That means you defeated whatever was talking to you. That wasn't us, that was you, we just steadied you when you were losing your balance. Admiral Odin
*Idun pauses a moment before answering Marin* Idun: Hmm...Is there something in paticular that you don't understand about our fighting or you just generally don't understand? And why do you wish that Aidan didn't come here?
Redwing
Marin: *evasively* Like I said...a feeling. About the fighting...I don't understand why you did it. So many people died. There's no way there was a dent large enough to make a difference...and as many powerful Aesir died as our powerful enemies. I...I just don't understand that. I understand fighting against overwhelming odds - isn't that what we've been doing this entire time? - but at such a price, with so little rewards... *She shakes her head* You really don't owe me an explanation. I'd just like to understand.

Writer
Tanara nodded. "I did overcome Kira," she agreed, but she looked away. "Just before the battle..." Tears began to fall again. "Kira left me... threatened to go to Elaina... I know she would... She probably already has. It is for this reason I am afraid for my sister." "Elaina has had no training to be a Jedi," Tanara continued. "It was my training that allowed me to resist Kira's influence. Without this, I fear that my sister will fall... will be used by Kira." She sighed. "With my sister's body, Kira will hunt me down."
jokemaster
Matt: You've gotta keep up a little faith. Let's say: IF this thing, Kira finds your sister, IF your sister can't resist it, IF it can somehow convince your sister to hurt you, IF it and your sister can somehow find us, I promise, I'll help you in any way I can to defeat Kira without hurting your sister.
Writer
Tanara allowed herself a little smile. "She'll find us. Elaina will help with that. Thank you for your offer, but I feel it is something I must do alone." _________ "What do you mean, you've never heard of this ship?" Kira demanded impatiently. "The last place I went said the ship was headed here. Unless you delete your records after the ship leaves, you should still have it." "There is no information concerning this Sky Swinger, as you call it," the woman calmly repeated. "I'm sorry, but it seems that your information is incorrect." Kira grunted and left the building. "Why are we looking for my sister anyway?" Elaina wondered. Kira laughed. "You'll figure it out soon enough," she retorted. "For now, just be content with things as they are." "As if there's anything else I could do," Elaina muttered.
Admiral Odin
((Expect the thread to end by the weekend. Maybe sooner if Red can find sometime to post)) *Two med droids walk up to Tanara* Med Droid: It is now your turn. *the droid turns to Matt* The Asgardried leaves in two minutes, if you don't want to get left behind it would probably be wise to go there now. *The two droids pick up tanara's gurney and carry her over to the Asgardried and get her situated in her small, sparse room. Tanara is among one of the last of the survivors to be loaded onto the ship.* ---------------------------------------- *A battle droid comes up to Idun while Marin is still digesting what Idun told her.* Battle Droid: Two minutes mi Lady. Idun: Thank you. ------------------------------------------- *A droid walks up to guy and gives the same message as the Med droid gave Matt* -------------------------------------------- *Heimdall stretchs out his hand and mutters a spell. A hand appears in the flames and reaches out to Heimdall touching his hand briefly. While the fire continues to consume the dead, no longer is the wooden pyre consumed. Also as the flames arc into the sky they spell out the names of the dead Aesir. Heimdall turns and walks to the Asgardreid*
Redwing
*Marin is silent for a few moments* Marin: I guess I don't understand the choices. But...I don't really understand oaths either, so...I don't know. *More than ever, she felt young and clueless, especially compared to the immortal standing next to her. The feeling frustrated her, especially combined with the nagging despair tugging at her heart. She falls silent* ---------- *Guy is jerked awake, back into all-encompassing darkness, by the droid addressing him. Admiral Odin
Idun: Well the second oath is easy to explain. First Heimdall and then the rest of the rulling council felt that you and Aidan were worth protecting. If you really want to know why I would recommend asking Heimdall. But for now it is time to leave Midgard. *Idun gently guides Marin to the Asgardried, when they get to the boarding ramp Idun speaks again* Idun: There is something we do want you to think about. There may be a time when you cannot morph, and your going to need something to fall back on to defend yourself. If you would like we can teach you how to use a sword, and like your armor it won't inhibit your ability to morph. *The two arrive at the ramp* While you think about the offer, head up to the top deck, and go to the rear observatory lounge. Your surprise is back there, I would show you myself but I am needed on the bridge. *Idun begins to head up the bridge, at the top she turns to Marin* Remember I'm here if you ever need or want to talk. *Idun turns and walks into the ship heading towards the bridge*
