PR-0927
Yeah, I just got Gmail, and I wanted to know when you get invites, or how you get them. I was hoping on inviting many people, and getting two Gmail accounts...so I get double the invites!!

Kurgan
We have a rule against advertising and spam here, so just a warning! Don't go posting your invitations and begging for them here. Just letting you know. Posts of that nature may be deleted and threads locked.
Alegis
I don't see why you'd need 2 gmail accounts. I got 6 invites twice on mine. And if ppl really need invites you just forward them to those guys you sent invites to, so they can put him in gmail. You're not selling your invites are you? Joetheeskimo
Someone who has it (like me or everyone else at LF ) has to invite you. Then you get an e-mail that gives you a link to an encrypted sign-up page. That way, it's not that easy to get an account like with Yahoo or Hotmail. It doesn't make any difference though, because just about everyone has one nowadays

Not advertising...I was asking a question that LightNinja answered. I never thought about forwarding...good idea, Alegis.

It's because gmail is in beta and they just add more and more people by invites rather than letting everyone join immediately and face the hardware consequences (spymac)

Samuel Dravis
It's Google's new (well, sort of) free e-mail. It has 1 gigabyte of storage. Apparently it's quite nice. It's currently in beta.
