snj
I'll be buying the collectors edition. I'm not wasting over £70.00 just for the gold version. It's a complete rip-off and Valve should be ashamed. I also see why they delayed the game so many times, so they could pump all of this extra crap into the packages. If they would of not bothered with Counter Strike Source, Half Life 1 Source and the DoD source this would of been released months ago. They're just doing this to make more money. I don't see how they could be so greedy.

Same here, except, I might get the collectors edition if it goes down to $30 or $40, since I want it on a DVD. 6 CD's is too much.

legameboy
Originally posted by Jed I will be buying NONE of it until it's 20 bucks or less. Bastards. Lol, I'm shocked, I thought people were used to games costing around forty to fifty dollars by now. You have to expect that this, out of all games, will cost more, just because of the fact that it is one of the, if not the best game of all time. Nerd_Annhilator
I can't wait until one day, DVD disks are the new standard for optical storage, and games are just one DVD. I mean... ferchrissakes 4-6 is just way too much.
Treacherous Mercenary
Suppose I should get a DVD drive by now. Besides, DoD and HL Source should be free if you at least have the original. I refuse to pay for what were mods with HL..

acdcfanbill
so, if you buy the boxes and stuff because you like having 'real' copies of things, and yet, you have to dl part of the thing you bought in the box set, does that not defeat the whole point of having the non-download copy? Nerd_Annhilator
any DVD drive will do. Somehow I ended up with a DVD-R/DVD-RAM/CD-R/CD-RW/CD drive AND a CD-R/CD-RW/CD/DVD drive....

CS-Source was meant to be played online, and the only way to play it online is through Steam, which is a must-download now. I guess i would be easier for it to be included, but it doesn't take too long to download off of Steam anyway........wait, that the hell am I saying, Steam is pure sh**
