You and also chat by typing as well. If you pay money, you can call people's houses!! Well, the website is http://www.skype.com, go and check it out if you haven't. My Skype name is majinrevan.

ET Warrior Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Sounds like...AIM..or MSN...or Yahoo. Pretty sure they all offer voice chat for free aswell, so I'll just stick to those.
PR-0927 Posted October 3, 2004 Author Posted October 3, 2004 Well, with Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, or AIM, you have to do that crazy direct connect, which doesn't work sometimes, because of firewalls. But, this one works!! Also, when transferring files, MSN Messenger and others see what you are transferring through a server, Skype does not!! The comma, good grammar!! But, it put it together with the URL.
ET Warrior Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Well if I'm going to talk to someone I just use my telephone, so I've never really tried to use any IM programs for voice chat.... But that's cool that it's a good program for it.
Nerd_Annhilator Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 New beta version of MSN messenger 7.0. Do a search for MSN 7 beta on google and look around a bit.

Datheus Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Skype actually provides better sound than telephones. If you both have good connections, there is almost no lag. Telephone < VoIP
Alegis Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Originally posted by Datheus Telephone < VoIP true dat. But for skype you need accounts, and be online on that account etc etc, thats why programs with more functions like TS and vent are more popular (they started it anyways). As for the msn audio conv, its of course less good but does the job just as well and can be used for chatting. puh
