Nalukai
I cannot belive noone here has posted any comments on this masterpiece yet... the absolute Psyche of this film will have you on the edge of your seat from the begiinning to end... and the ending is so beyond a cliffhanger it can only make you sit in paralyzation thinking wtf the entire time ... there is no a single movie that can even come close to the dementedness and twsited plots as this film has... not even Waters or Lynch can touch this one... A MUST SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ET Warrior
Um....we're talking about the movie SAW here right? Spider AL
Saw? They gave away the identity of the killer about twenty minutes into the film, the direction was passe at best and cliched at worst, and some of the performances were abysmal. And it wasn't twisted at all. Ichi the Killer, THAT's twisted. And funny to boot. Yeah, I dont watch horror movies...so....I'm leaving now...Your loss. The Thing pwns you. Ichi the killer was a very good manga to live action, and it kept a lot of the insane torture scenes .
toms
started off ok, then got really convoluted and silly. Certain bits were quite cool, creepy and clever, but it then turned into more of a thriller than a horror film and got all twisted up in it's own attempts at cleverness. Cary Elewes was cool (though he has put on a lot of weight (dissappointing my girlfriend), but the other guy in the room was a terrible actor and came across like an amateur. For a much freakier "saw" type thing, watch Audition. I didn't like it though as it was TOO freaky. For a much better convoluted "what is going on" horror plot watch A Tale of Two Sisters (or wait for hollywood to produce the neutered remake in a year or so...) That movie was seriously twisted, but damn was the lead actress hot. <_<

Ichi the Killer is a very twisted movie (and I've only seen the trailer) but by mainstream standards, Saw is pretty nasty stuff. The acting wasn't bad. I would say average at worst. Sure, it wasn't anything outstanding (Marlon Brando in the Godfather, Johnny Depp in POTC) but I didn't find it bad . The direction was about average too. It wasn't bad either, but nothing outstanding . However it does have some tense/cool scenes and some decent gore, so I would give it (7/10, on the good end of average). NOTE: The censors here have become much more liberal, so se UK people got the NC-17 version for once, while you guys are stuck with the R!

Spider AL
Cary Elewes was cool Elwes is an excellent performer, to be sure. He gave such gravitas and comic timing to his role as the Man in Black in "The Princess Bride". Catwoman > SAWYou just like Halle Berry in black leather. Actually, so do I. Does that make me a goth? The acting wasn't bad. I would say average at worst. Sure, it wasn't anything outstanding (Marlon Brando in the Godfather, Johnny Depp in POTC) but I didn't find it bad .I thought it was awful, especially from the guy that played... "Adam", was it? Bad bad bad. So awful in fact that I laughed out loud at several points that weren't supposed to be laughed at. But each to their own. And Brando in the Godfather? I could have played that, given enough hamburgers, cotton wadding and unintelligible speech impediments.
