thats not what i said at all.

i said it had medical possibilities, i.e transport for the disabled . the rest of that sentence goes toward my dount that such devices would serve the average able bodied person

Put some lazers and homing rockets in those things and everyone would want at least one!

Lol that is fantasy, ATSTs arent that effective, they cant rotate 360º or walk in all terrain plus they can fall off easyly.

I think that was made just for investigation or for spending some money of the damn big fortune they have

this is a break through in science. Previously mechanics trying to mimic biological leg structures could barely support their own weight. these can obviously support their own weight and that of a grown adult. In years this will bring way to smaller, more compact, yet more versatile structures. Possibly even to robotic limbs to replace those lost in accidents. This has incredible possibilities, and they go in all different directions.

*goes back to imagining himself in a real life gundam*

That is if they don't just scrap the whole project within the next two years because of some cataclysmic event that makes us worry more about more important things :p .

I don't see why this is such a big break-through... I 've seen a pair of mechanical legs carry a grown man before. Now if it was running and bounding down stairs. I can see why you'd get excited. But things that have 'infinite' possibilities seem to find a way of not staying on track because of all those possibilities.

Though, I do suppose it could have just been a morale boost for those who have dissibilities.

What ever the case, the future is ALWAYS unclear...

heh, I really pinched a pipin hot one on this party, no? :D

I've seen em all :joy:

I have several of the games too. Zeonic Front is a superb game. Anyone that doesn't like it just sucks at it. It's brilliantly fun.

I absolutely loved Gundam Wing Endless Duel. Sure it was only who pushes which button faster but it was so much fun.

HeavyArms rule :D

omg heavy arms is so cheap. Freaking thing can kill you in a 3 shot combo. Unbalanced as hell. But me being a great fighter with the wing gundam, I can kick it's ass.

I never knew those Gundams needed legs, I always see them floating in space, whats the point?

Like luke said, they also fight on ground, there are also space battles as you said you've "seen". I suggest you watch the orginal series (preferably non-dubbed, they mess up a lot of the names :x) and then maybe watch one of the smaller more "realistic" takes on gundam, like 08thMS Team or 0083: Stardust Memory.

Pfft. Shenlong all the way =)

Gundam Wing was my favorite series... I got bored by the rest.

Nataku > all

Strap some rocket cannons, a laser sword, boosters, and a huge rifle and you got a death machine ^__^

I was a bit annoyed by Wing's characters though. Except for Throwa and maybe WuFei all of the others are either suicidal or homicidal maniacs. Zechs was cool though.

It was quite odd how all the names of the characters are numbers.

Throwa: Deformation of Trois meaning 3 in french.

Quatre: 4 in french.

Duo: A duo is a pair of something. In other words 2.

Lady Une: Une meaning 1 in it's feminin form.

Zechs: 6 in german.

Milliardo Peacecraft: Milliard means Billion in french.

Lt. Noin: Deformation of 9.

That's all I can remember.

Maybe I just got beaten too often by Mercurius...

pffft. heavy arms is easy to spam atack with. just corner your opponent and power hit the hell out of them. The freaking rocket launch kills instantly.

I liked wing okay, more than most people do. But I liked it probably near least of any of the series' cept victory gundam. Victory gundam had some horrible dialogue in it. and the love story was kinda fmeh.

I've been re-watching some of the older gundam series, and I forgot how much I like 0083 and Z gundam. Z gundam was overlooked so much. It's probably one of the best. But I still like the orginal gundam and 08th ms team the most.

Deathscythe HellCustom and the Shenlong-Ka were my favourites from gundam wing.

What about Heero? :p

Heero = hero. :)

Basically what they did was shortcutted the design process of coming up with characters. They needed a hero, "lets just add another E!"

they needed supporting characters.

1-#+ "let's just make their names numbers in different languages and the like" BAM!

:)

anyway, mike what all gundam series' have you seen? and get on msn :p
