Calapuno
What in particular makes MI2's difficulty modes differ from each other, and why on earth did they remove it from the White Label double pack (ScummVM says hello to it).
Joshi
Some of the puzzels within puzzels are missing. I'm not entirely sure which ones, but basically, lite mode makes it just sightly more easier to complete (and sightly less fun, if you ask me). White Lable (and subsequent other re-releases of MI2) never actually got rid of this option, they just produce a bit of code to bypass the option screen and put you straight into Hard Mode, but ScummVM doesn't recognise this code and so that's why you see it with ScummVM. Calapuno
Yeah, I was suprised when I ran it wwith ScummVM for the first time... wonder why they bypassed it? Thanks for the tip!
ATMachine
Bypassing the selection screen also gets rid of the copyprotection; it was done for some releases so they wouldn't have to bother with shipping codewheels apparently.
ThunderPeel2001
The easy version was pretty crappy anyway. I think Ron Gilbert said there was originally a third mode which was "normal", but they couldn't fit it in. In hindsight a "normal" and "hard" mode (like in CMI) makes a LOT more sense! Joshi
If you run it through ScummVM, you'll get the choice (along with the copy protection thing, but it's useless, just enter any numbers)
