Yeah, that's probably a good thing. You don't want to be opening up PSUs unless you know exactly what you're doing. Not the place for experimentation. I can't wait... It'll be nice to be able to go to bed without Mickey Mantle's rookie card keeping me awake for an extra 2 hours. Couldn't you have just...turned it off? edlib
That's what I was thinking. I always shut off my main PC at night for that reason. Although lately, with the all the AC units and fans running to keep my room cool, I'd never notice it.
Nitro
Here's the deal there... I do a lot of video editing and such for an old friend that now lives out west, so overnight tends to be the best time to compile/compress my work, and to send and recieve the files themselves (raw DV files tend to get rather large). Also, I have mild tinnitus, the sound of which is considerably worse to deal with at night then that of my computer... Plus, with the computer on, I'm free to play MP3's, which (before the PSU fan started making that god-awful racket 9 month ago) would be just enough to mask the sound of the 9 case fans keeping my box cool. As for opening up the PSU... It's nothing I haven't done before, and oddly enough they're a lot less dangerous then monitors and tube gear... And PSU and monitor repair are just about the only useful things I learned in college. Usually it's easier to just replace it, but if it's just a fan, I've got no qualms about swapping a new one in. edlib
New header... new color scheme... New ways to post... It's all so new and exciting! Whee!!! Still no spell check that I can see though... pity. How long before that "New Forum Smell" starts to wear off? Got waken up (woke up? woken up? awoken? awaken? It's one of those words I never know what to do with...) this morning whilst in the middle of a dream, deep into REM sleep. Now I'm nice and groggy. That'll throw me off for the rest of the day. It was a weird dream too... something about adultry with a sexy married woman, the subsequent witnessing of the murder of her husband by her, being accused of said murder and having to flee (as well as not wanting to be her next target,) then eventually sneaking back to her house to find she had stolen all my guitars and was now trying to sell them back to me. (Which angered me far, FAR more than the whole 'being accused of murder' part.) It turned out she was holding a party for all the town's elite the night I snuck back, and the police were there as well as her own security, who surrounded me. I then accused her in front of everyone of the murder, at which point she picked up something (I think it was a ball-point pen, which was what she used to kill her husband) and came after me. I grabbed my white Les Paul and was about to smash her skull in with it if I had to, when I said something like "Oh, by the way... you really look good tonight!" That's when I was so rudely pulled from my slumber. Now I'll never know how it might have ended... It would have made a great novel or screenplay... at least to guitar players with a taste for trippy, surrealistic film noir. Anybody want to play amature analyst and try to decode what that dream means?

Keyan Farlander
Well, here's something - I played X-Wing Alliance today! First time in years. Took a bit of fussing to get it perfect on XP, but it was worth it. I love this game...

Nute Gunray
http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/3505/zatannadraft7vw.jpg I drew that out of boredom. I linked it on the side of caution. Its not exactly scandalous these days, but back in, oh, 1940 it would have been. I got the pose from a Vargas pinup I saw once...

Nute Gunray
I can't draw faces well. With a sharpie. No two artists seem to be able to draw Zatanna the same way anyhow.
edlib
Feel like crap this morning. Had kind of a lousy day yesterday, and got almost no sleep last night. (If I managed to grab a full half-hour of shut-eye all night I'd be very surprised.) Yesterday was one of those days that was a comedy of errors: where nothing major went wrong,.. just dozens of little things that compounded into an overall suckiness. One of those days where it couldn't end fast enough... except even when I went to bed it just kept going. I hope today manages to scrape itself into somewhat better shape. Except for the total exhaustion part, anyways.
Nitro
Well, I've been 22 for 11 hours and 43 minutes now... It's a little depressing 'cause it's the first year that there's no "guarantees" left to look forward to (excluding cheaper car insurance and being able to rent a car in the States at 25). It also dawned on me that it's the age I referred to throughout childhood as "when I'm older"... Ahhh well... I'm gettin' wrecked tonight.

Nute Gunray
Yeah, so it turns out she had a boyfriend. This knowledge could have come in handy like a month ago. How do you talk to someone for a month, almost every day for two weeks straight in there, and not have that key bit of information come up? I thought girls had that whole "tactfully/brutally interject that they have a boyfriend" thing down to a science. I've had that thing used on me as effectively as a Nazi Panzer division on Polish horse lancers before, but this one didn't seem to have read that chapter in the manual. Nute Gunray
I was reviewing some game footage from Penn State's last football season when I came across this camera angle. I'm actually in this shot (lol) and when its in full motion, you can actually see my reaction to the punt block, when I jumped up and started waving my pom-pom around. I was standing up on top of one of the tunnels. Those white spots are the towels they hand out at the games. The red circle is, of course, me and the white square is the towel that's currently hanging off my golf bag.
