Darth NeoVenom
I tried stretching an image I found on a game but I can't get a good resolution on it (I always get it in a 'fuzzy' look), yet when the game stretches that same image...it doesn't look fuzzy at all (from 512 x 512 to 1024 x 768). How can that be done? I know it has something to do with the image's pixels/inch (dpi), but I don't know how to adjust that so that the image doesn't appear fuzzy. Thankz... jon_hill987
You could try using a blur filter from an editing program like MGI photosuite Origonal: resized: better?:
Darth NeoVenom
Like I'll give you an example of an image I'm trying to stretch.
Pad
You can only make it bigger and still make it look good when you have it vectorised.
Darth NeoVenom
Are there any programs that can do that?
Pad
Illustrator or photoshop, but you have to draw it all yourself.

You can actually make selections into vectors in photoshop, so you can just auto select or something.
MTV2
PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING THESE DAYS!!!! srry when you resize an image there are more pixels so, okay? now that you have more pixels, so what happens is that the "empty pixel holes" get replaced with black to white pixels, that why its all fuzzy. Understand? It's the same with making the picture smaller, you lose data, then when you put it back to original, it;s the same thing. Class dismissed

The question was is there anyway around it. Stop screaming, and acting like a know it all, it's annoying.

El Sitherino
Originally posted by IG-64 You can actually make selections into vectors in photoshop, so you can just auto select or something. vector filters are very poor in comparison to hand done vectors. But I suppose they could work for the average user. Although why do a job half-assed? I always seem to bring up questions with most of my posts.... I need to get help. x_x
Darth NeoVenom
Seems like myimageshack.com reduces the size of images. Anyways, I think I can live with the fluffyness of the image. Thankz for the help.

Darth NeoVenom
That's not the model's real name, but she's a "real" version of Sally Mae from Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude.
GothiX
I cannot, possibly, understand why anyone would want that as his/her/its/Astro's background.
