I know I have got quite a few mods loaded and compatible on my machine and on my friends. On my friends machine which ever mod has this causes his to lock up during the saving hester(or whatever his name is) cutscene. However this is why it is glitchy as I have had it never load the Ebon Hawk there do to certain Global Conditionals never being met on Taris. On the other hand I have also had it appear there as well. Hence it is a glitch caused by warping sometimes it will be there but the ebon hawk won't take off because a global variable somewhere says that you can't go anywhere with it. There are also glitches that occur where you can't board the Ebon Hawk. All of my points above where made to make those aware that all of the things they want to do are fine and dandy. But that they may need to do some extra legwork due to possible glitches. That I have experienced when using some of the above methods with testing of mods. Sorry folks but nothing in any of my mods alter or change the Rackghouls in any possible way, shape or form. If I were to venture a guess it probably is caused by someones mods that actually effect something on Taris, and the three mods mentioned do nothing to Taris. Only my original item packs, and my 4 armors played around with parts of Taris, the recruited NPC's template .utc files and a couple of merchants, but nothing to affect the Rackghouls, and everything I did on Taris others have done as well. I would say it is likely another persons mods you have installed causing the error or you have yourselves a corrupted savegame, one that has messed up your games variables... Bobo
this mod had speical armor for carth that resembled Calo Nords.... hmmmm where oh where was this mod... i must say it was really fun slaughtering Rakhgouls hehe EDIT: Carth had two Speical Blasters too. and at the Endar Spire, in the Starting Chest with your equipement, had these two overpowered Sith Vibroswords... ooooh. lol. hmmm...... im trying to refresh my memory. I remember part of this memory my Sexy Female Char was wearing Blue Bastila Robes.... hmmm who made those.... maybe that does it...

His Good/Evil Bastila Robes are blue/teal http://www.angelfire.com/crazy2/xclone_0101/kotor_mods.htm although, if you're female PC was wearing them, that's RedHawke's female PC/Bastila Clothes mod?? I'm beginning to wonder what it is as well because it happens in my games all the time, though I tend to think that RedHawke is right in that somehow a global of mine has changed. I'm gonna have to do some detective work If I happen to find out, I'll let ya' know...
Darkkender
Ok as to which Mods caused this Specifically However On both machines I had this wonderful overspawn happen on I had all of Redhawke's Mods loaded on there with the exception of the terminator droids and older versions of some others, T7's lightsaber pack & Qui-gon jinn saber, Seps Blaster Pack, All of the MECK project MODs(Stormtrooper, Clonetrooper, & enter Jabba's Palace), Role Play Padawan Mod, My recruit Darkkender, Easy Swoop racing. If I missed any they are just simple recolor/retexture mods. Now prior to almost all except Easy Swoop and the variety of Redhawke's Mod's(pre Jawa shop & Ord Mandell days) I had this happen long time back. If it is one of Redhawkes I think the culprit lies within one of his Item mod's such as Baragwin Glazed Armor or something of that nature. Possibly in the insert Item script. I personally love this effect happening in all of my games since most of the above Mods make me feel cheesy overpowered early on but then hey what Can I say. ChAiNz.2da
Let's see, of the mods you listed I'm using Sep's Weapon Pack, All of the MECK Project mods, a 'version' of a Padawan Mod (Force Sensitive I think), Easy Swoop Racing & T7's Saber 6-Pack (minus the Tatooine script due to conflict with Jabba Palace mod). My "leads" : I uninstalled RedHawk'e Mods (Mission Jedi, ORD & Jawa Shop) to test, thinking possibly it was Make Mission a Jedi mod (since you meet Mission in the Undercity I thought that may have had something to do with it), but the spawning still happens... Both Jabba's Palace & RedHawke's Jawa/ORD mods use a global.jrl file, but I have no earthly clue as to what that file does... Also, Jabba's Palace uses a globalcat.2da file, which I haven't opened yet to snoop and find out what that file contains.... I didn't see any files in Sep's weapon Pack that would affect anything other than 'k_ptar_candenter.ncs', which I believe is a Canderous script (which you also meet, briefly, in the UnderCity). I think the script is to give Canderous the Kobra Assault Canon, but I doubt that would affect RakGhouls appearing in the Undercity?? and just so no one gets the wrong idea, I don't mind at all about the Rakghouls, they're easy enough to take care of (2-3 grenades wipe out about half the cluster before they even notice you), I'd just like to know the "hows & why's". You never know when it might make for a good mod. As Darkender said "I love this affect happening" For the wondering person, there is literally about 100+ Rakghouls spawning all at one time (clustered within the 3-4 areas where you normally battle them). It's quite a site, but on a lower spec system, it would definitely either crash or drag so slow you would wind up hard-booting before waiting for the dialog scripts to fire (which they will given your patience and enough time). The lag starts as soon as you enter the UnderCity from the elevator and doesn't speed back up until all the Rakghouls are dead. Since in that time, there are 5 auto-dialogues you have to meander about, so it can drive you crazy if your system isn't up-to-snuff (the 'slimy' merchant, Hester/Gate Guard, Meeting Mission, Sith Guards & Canderous Salvage Party)... The good thing is, Mission levels up anywhere from 2-3 times, and I think Carth will level at least once during the "extermination" spree

The global.jrl file is a GFF file that contains and arranges all of the Journal entries the game has, it doesn't do anything else. It is necissary for quests. The globalcat.2da is what is needed to create custom global numbers, I used it in my Recruit RedHawke Mod and have had no problems. I'm sure the MECK project modders used it the same way. Like I said, I use most all of my stuff, most of Svosh's items, Darth333's must have game savers, and a few others... and have never seen this problem... and Taris is one of my most played worlds, I have never had this happen. Originally posted by Darkkender If it is one of Redhawkes I think the culprit lies within one of his Item mod's such as Baragwin Glazed Armor or something of that nature. Nope... none of those even fire scripts in the Undercity, 2 fire in the main part of the Lower City, the first Vulkar Cutscene, and the Canderous cutscene, one in the Black Vulkar Base, with the cowardly Twilek, and one in Matrik's Apartment, and one in Selven's Apartment, all those are nowhere near the Undercity. I have never gotten the bonus Rackghouls... I'm starting to feel a little left out

It's my fault ( I hope Sep won't sent Rakghouls after me for this since I made the scripts for his mod.). Originally I intented to attach these scripts to a convo but ended up changing this at the last minute to fire them when the module loads. Unfortunately, I forgot to prevent the script from firing more than once Although I tested the scripts, I never looked at the ragkouls, I focused on Canderous's blaster and the few rakghouls near him were normal as they are spawned later on and not during the loading of the module. This should fix the problem:Rakghoul fix . k_ptar_candenter.ncs is fine however as it is fired during a convo as it was originally intented for the two other scripts as well
RedHawke
^^^^ Thanks for clearing that up Darth333! I hate it when things like this happen... @ To everyone else *Cough* Darkkender *Cough* ChAiNz *Cough*... Methinks you guys need to check all the mods you have when an error occurs before saying with some conviction, that so-and-so's mod(s) is(are) causing a problem... *RedHawke now proceeds to start putting spackle in all the holes his head has put into his walls looking for this problem today!*

I duely apologize and absolve you from any fault (and I'll re-imburse you for the spackle ) And thank you for the definitions & clarifications for the .jrl and globalcat, I've always wondered what those files were @Darth333 Thanks for the fix (and clarifications). Though I like the uber-grouping of Rakghouls, it will definitely help others with not so "buff" systems Still, seeing all of those Rakghouls are an amazing sight to see...if anyone's curious I'd suggest trying it at least once before applying the fix...if not. There "might" be some screenshots posted later on this evening... hehe Thanks all for your help!

[begin lame excuse]for those who have a system that can handle it, it's a good way to build XP on Taris without feeling like cheating too much [/end of lame excuse] Originally posted by RedHawke RedHawke now proceeds to start putting spackle in all the holes his head has put into his walls looking for this problem today!* Sorry for your walls Redhawke, here is a little something to repair all the damages caused by my fault:
Darkkender
Well it's cool that you found the culprit Darth333. Hey Redhawke I wasn't trying to point blame necesarily just offer up possibilities of where it might be. For that I apologize for your frustration. Now I know which script to tear apart for idea's.
