Boba Rhett Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 User CP > Edit Options > Show username glows Check that out.
ZBomber Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Name glows don't work on Firefox and stuff, I think it's only Internet Explorer.
Jan Gaarni Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Only works with Internet Explorer (to my knowledge)
IG-64 Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 Meh, they're right. Yet another reason why, even after i've been using it for months, I still don't see the big ohh and ahh with firefox. Only things are I feel a bit safer, and the ad blocker.

Those non-standard css filters that show pretty pictures make all the difference in a good web browser!

It has a practice of adopting non-standards based elements, since as css filters.

Well, i'm still using firefox anyways, I just noticed a few annoying things, like the LF message field being half the size and is a bit buggy. Also my clan forum looks weird. Also some images sometimes never load.
ZBomber Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 You get used to it, and most sites are set to look good in Firefox nowadays.
Kurgan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I love using opera, it blocks ads and fools cookies, but it doesn't show glowy names either. I kind of forgot about them until I saw threads like these with people asking about 'em. ; )
90SK Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Well, I'm pretty sure that the name glows are gone forever. I use IE, and all I see is bold text. There is no way to even do that in the user CP. Is this the way it should be? Just making sure my browser isn't screwed. Yeah, I know it's a nightmareishly obvious speculation, but no one has said anything about it yet. Sorry.
coupes. Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 This thread is almost a year old... this was way before the switch to vb3. There are no name glows with the new layout, so it's perfectly normal you can't find an option for it in your user cp.
90SK Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Yeah, I know it's old. I didn't want to make a new thread over such a trivial matter. Thanks for answering my question.
coupes. Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Glad I could be of assistance... Also, if you were wondering about the bold and italic names, they are reserved for [super]moderators and Admins, respectively.
lukeskywalker1 Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I wish it was implemented still, though...
RC-1162 Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 yeah, it looked cool. is there any way of bringing it back?
90SK Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Probably not. Unless they re-implement it with a new version. If we ever upgrade again, that is.
